There are several other Jumble blogs, but the ones I checked all started off by listing the answers. In this blog, answers can be either hinted at or masked by burying them in comments. No overt spoilers!
A journalist is an historian of the current day. To record it as it's happening is the intent of his foray. To make an archive so the future won't forget The things that went before, and those that matter yet!
We suffer for what they leave out, the info that we crave. When the details are so skimpy, we want to rant and rave! We want the what, the where, the when, the who, We want to know the how, and the why's important, too!
From the days of Herodotus to Josephus the Jew, We can scarcely tally up the value their reports are due. And on into our recent days, the movie newsreel times, Newscasts and newspapers have the facts to feed our minds!
Words 1, 2, 4, and the sol. jumped out at me. On word 3, I entered the last 3 letters, and verified that they were correct. Then the first 3 letters fell into place.
Words 1, 3, and 4 popped out almost immediately but #2 took me a long time and I couldn't leave it alone. Finally, with little intent on my part it revealed itself and the solve with it. I hope not to forget it.
Wohoo! Woohoo! After my rough time with yesterday's Jumble, this one was, thankfully, a breeze. I got all four items quickly without any problem, and the solution came to mind in an instant and there it was --solved! A relief and a delight.
Owen, these poems are amazing. I track where each of the words appears and how the solution is revealed. Wonderful--thank you!
Another easy go... Glad everybody breezed through. But whatever happened to the tough ones? Will tomorrow's Jumble wipe us out/make us eat crow/force us to regret our hubris?!

Perhaps because it's Saturday it'll be tough. And I had VALUE for #2 and couldn't fit the V in to the obvious solution .
