|| logic, wound, oddity, fellow, wolfed it down.

Time is a subject that's amazing!
Is there a logic to the pace of its passing?
Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, always hashing!
Thinking of it overmuch is crazing!

A clock is wound, one thinks it marches even.
Each moment as alike as inches on a ruler.
But in love or in pain, one knows it's truer
That the duration of a moment is a treason!

When in love, a fellow's moments should be longer!
When in pain, each minute down is still too long!
If the wolf is at the door, or one hears a cherished song,
Time should be steady, but the oddity is stronger!

I solved this in a flash! It took quick logic and I wound up with the answer without much effort. Great as always, Owen!

I got this one too, although I couldn't figure out the 3 item. I knew what the three circled letters should be but just couldn't come up with the word. Owen, your poem gave it to me--many thanks. Now I can finally settle down and get on with my day.

I had an odd occurrence to . I solved all four then got sidetracked. I hadnth written anything down and had to solve all over again. #3, took awhile . I then wrote all the letters down and rearranged a few and tada .

Haiku upon request.

I had a similar experience.
In my case I grokked onto the 4 prelims instantly, but had a bit of a snag trying to fit the obvious letters into the final answer. I started backwards, assuming the final word to be the name of the critter impersonating granny.
Then when I figured that wouldn't do and latched onto the correct third word, I didn't see right away how to fit the nom de vulpine into the first word.
These were typical solvers' woes, however, only worth noting in contrast to Misty & Lucina's easy time.

nom de vulpine -- I like that!

I suppose I should have used "lupine," but it doesn't have the same ring.

Your poem today set me to thinking and thinking about Time, about Einstein's revelations and our great difficulty in grasping the plasticity of this dimension we have long (!) taken to be immutable. Now that it's proven that traversing space at high speeds will necessarily slow Time, I am not so surprised at that as aghast at the rate of speeds involved.
It is still an enormous leap to think of spacetime as a single dimension, but we gotta do it outside our "Goldilocks zone."

I guess this is not exactly the kind of thinking we associate with the Jumble.
But poetry, ah, Owen, that's something else...

The seed of this poem is venerable:
“Put your hand on hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. That's relativity.”

Like others the 4 words came easily. On the Sol. I entered the middle word, and found that I had the wrong second letter. Once that was corrected, the third word, and then the first word came to me.
