The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.

Twas bliss to wait at the railway station,
The fountain there served a creamy creation.
Some splinters of ice
With space for some spice
Made one gloat at the taste sensation!
Woohoo! A limerick economically packed with every clue and solution word. I think that's an even harder task than the longer stories you tell, Owen, though I love those too.
Misty, I borrowed your word because it seemed so appropriate.
The jumble was cute but not difficult.
I'll add my Woohoo! to Sandyanon's, Owen--that really is an amazing poem with every single Jumble word plus the solution embedded in it. Just dazzling--Woohoo!
The Jumble cartoon had me totally confused this morning, and I feared I would get nothing at all. But surprisingly each of the words popped right up after considering the letters for a minute, and I guessed what the first resolve word would be, since the cartoon used ORBIT. So I got the solution after all--Yay! Makes for a good start to the weekend!
I got it reasonably fast too . I got the riddle before #3 but the letters didn't get me the J .
It was a process of elimination.
My son Phil had the Tuesday J and asked me if I "got" the hint. Remember da da dum da da da da dum dum dum ...
And the key word PINK of which someone had a PINK Tee shirt on today.
Well perhaps I'm the only one who missed it but ...
Theme from The PINK Panther. I recall now that I had "Ebony and Ivory" as a hint re Tickling the ivories .
Is that a collective DUH I hear?
WC
No, Wilbur, not "duh", but "huh?" . I was confused about your original post on this and I'm still confused about what you mean. Sorry, but I am.
Wilbur was commenting on a puzzle from several days ago -- "tickled pink".
I know. I was confused by his original post and this follow--up as well.
