The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.

Our chihuahua mix, Nacho, has taught himself to trumpet on several pitches whenever something really excites him.
The mail carrier won't do it; she comes too regularly. But the gardener comes only once a week, so that's cause for rejoicing.
When he parks his truck, I turn to Nacho and cue him, "Sing it, Pup!"

My computer has died!
If your pantry needs some fruit
Try some guava for your loot!
I insist the taste is fine,
And think that you'll agree in time!
Have your grocer ring it up
For dessert next time you sup!
Loved your poem, Owen, and your gloss on the solution is delightful, Ol'Man Keith. Nice to get your Nacho story on a morning after my Dusty seizure terror yesterday morning. Thank goodness, Dusty seems okay this morning, but I'm still going to call he vet for advice. Had trouble only with the fourth Jumble word, but figured out the solution and that helped me get the word too. Cute colorful cartoon.
Have a good day, everybody.
This one was really easy peasy. Didn't even need the clues.
I love your poems, Owen. You can embed the words in a long, interesting story (as can Wilbur, btw), or, as today, use them in a succinct, humorous, anecdote.
Riddle was easy and only #4, as Misty said, needed thought.
Anybody stocking up their panties re. CV-19? We bought a sack of Jasmine rice on sale last night.
Sandy, I wrapped up the long saga of Bilbo vs Smaug Saturday night. Hope you caught it.
Misty, I hope Dusty is well and stays healthy.
If Owen needs a break I'll poesize again. Bilbo vs Gollum

Whoops, I didn't mean underwear. I can't use preview on my Android because of some hug in blogger.
I knew what you meant, Wilbur. Of course, people wear panties in their pantries, don't they?
Dear Misty ~
I am so sorry to read of Dusty's attack. I pray it was just a passing reaction, an aberration, and nothing serious.
Glad to read that all seems well for now!

Glad your 'puter resurrected itself, Owen!
Your poem was worth the wait.
Sandy ~ Yes, definitely easy peasy.
So easy, in fact, it barely deserved getting our hints.
I was actually a little embarrassed thinking up a rhyme.

Using phone, Kindle, and Bren's 'puter. Just did a real short poem today because I was using an unfamiliar interface, and typing directly into the web page, without any backup if I glitched.
