Pleasant Plan
Nancy enjoyed a morning nosh
of poached eggs
as through her puzzle she sloshed.
Her dogma was no deceit,
even if it meant defeat.
Failing would not her annoy,
so she plunged into solving with joy.
Misty ~ Your "Pleasant Plan" is a tight, economical verse, managing to place today's diverse J-words into three short couplets.
I like that you didn't shy from backing off from that long 2nd line (combining the 2nd & 3rd lines of print.)

CanadianEh!, I love seeing your Wordles and wish I could get a slightly clearer clue--maybe a 5 letter word, to help me try one too. Would that be possible?

Ouch- Pegs
Accidents occur without warning,
On a day with no deceit in the morning.
The dog may plunge into the stream,
A hot iron strike and burn with steam,
Sloshed water on floor may cause a fall,
But tripping over tent pegs is the worst of all.
Misty- yes I am afraid that is exactly what OMK’s speaker is planning to do. . . and with “a mighty Slosh”. In for a penny, in for a pound!
I’ll see if I can give you a W poem. My note with the W usually gives a clue to my second-last guess and then to the W (but may be hard to figure out).
Nancy must be a LA Times CW solver, eating her breakfast of poached eggs as she sloshes through the CW. (Great imagery there of wading through the deep clues. Perhaps she also sloshes her coffee?). It seems that she will own up if she doesn’t FIR, but still enjoys the solve. Great spirit and great poem.
OMK- Your Pegs are the boundaries of one’s moral code, while mine are merely simple tent pegs. I like that imagery of sloshing into deep sin (if you want to call it that). Thought-provoking haiku today.
I’m afraid my offering follows on from yesterday, with more ailments and injuries. I hope for better words tomorrow that will trigger a happier poem from me. (And no, I don’t really think the tent peg accident is the worst - but I had to tie in the title!)

Yes, indeed, "In for a penny..." Heheheh.
Tent-peg tripping may not be the absolute worst, but as a former Boy Scout and camper of many years (with family as well), I will say that such a trip can be an unpleasant experience, especially in the dark.
Another peg problem is when the soil is loose and a peg gives way-- during a rainstorm. No fun at all.
Misty ~. I couldn't tell yesterday whether you were picking up on all the W hints or not.

OMK, so what exactly are the W hints? I doubt I got them.
Yesterday's word was SPLAT.
Take a look back, Misty, and you'll see that Owen, CEh, & I each left you W clues.
CEh actually spelled the 5 letters out (just as you prompted her today).
You even complimented my hinting verse--the one ending in SPLIT--which would have handed you the word if you had "corrected" for my purposely faulty rhyme scheme!
