I read the grammar differently. I thought it was Kate who was glad when she โwoke himโ to be feeling so โhappy and ready to play.โ

I managed to get both birds into my poem today.
You hid the W well in the first line of your funny Wily Coyote poem.

You took a different title for your haiku. I liked the โthe world sprawls stews of viceโ phrase with its imagery.

"Smell Hell"
Sue was sickened by the smell,
which made her feel unwell.
The odor in the shop did sprawl
all over the world of the mall.
Sue tried with all her might
to put up with it day and night.
But when she could no longer endure,
she asked the managers to find a cure.
They agreed and got rid of the smell,
and now Sue's job is still working well.

Misty- Poor Sue. That smell must have been terrible to make her feel sick day and night (even when I assume she wasnโt even at the mall working!). Thank goodness she spoke up and her managers were able to find a cure.

Owen, I didn't know coyotes were able to order food from Acme in the desert. Hope yours got his desert dessert.
CanadianEh!, what a complex, clever verse you gave us today! Took me a minute to picture storks delivering babies before their contribution to population expansion became clear to me. I suppose seeing them lined up like that would help people's heirs sort of know where they came from.
