The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

Jim Bronze, undercover as a clown
Infiltrated the circus new in town.
But he narrowly kept up his ruse
From ineptness at juggling fruit!
Horses weaving in and out for the show
Gave him cover to get info down low.
But he found he was having such fun,
He stayed on when his mission was done!
His boss would not stand for such antics.
The recall he sent was near frantic!
"The circus may seem to need you,
But ditto your Spy Service crew!"
No poem from me today.
My mind is too occupied with expected visit of an old friend I have not seen for nearly fifty years.
It will be the first face-to-face meeting with anyone since the pandemic locked us all down.
We are both fully vaccinated, but still...

"Tough Jumble"
WOVEN is not a word I can rhyme
even if I had plenty of time.
DITTO also gave me a fit
and I almost decided to quit.
But then I had less of a struggle
with an easy word like JUGGLE.
And I found it fun to NARROW
this word to rhyme with "sparrow."
So I was happy to have gotten the LOWDOWN
which allowed me to avoid having to go down.
Woohoo! Owen! Elegant and interesting verse with a surprising ending. And, after checking carefully, there they were--all of today's Jumble words and solution. Great job!
Ol' Man Keith, I hope you have a wonderful reunion with your friend from so many years ago. And, yes, it's difficult at this time when most of us haven't left the house and seen very few people, even those close by. But I hope you will both be safe and have a lovely visit.
Oh, Misty, falling back into bad habits of capitalizing words that are supposed to be hidden. Tsk tsk, tho you did put them together to make a nice poem. While I don't do it as often as I should, note the instructions say, "words can be hidden by embedding them in longer comments, especially if tense, number, or part of speech is altered."
I had good examples of that today, with narrowly, juggling, and weaving for woven. And you did too, though unconsciously, with gotten for get.
My go-to website for rhymes, that I use at least once a day when I'm writing verse, even with Erato's help, is at RhymeZone. It lists 26 rhymes for woven and 79 near-rhymes. Tho oddly, it doesn't include the first word that came to my mind, oven.
It also has 15 rhymes for ditto, none of them normal words however; but 52 near rhymes like hero, window, and other such weirdo info.
Sorry, Owen,--for some reason I just didn't realize that Jumble answers shouldn't be capitalized. My apologies for that.
Unless someone else checks in today, it possibly won't do any harm since OMK will be busy with his friend. But if Sandy or Wilbur do check in, I offer my apologies to you both in advance.
I never went down into the Grand Canyon, just visited it from the rim. My most vivid memory is of a trip with my oldest grandson, about 10 at the time, who kept scaring me by venturing very close to the edge. He was always rash like that. But now he's a grown man, with whom I couldn't disagree more politically, but who is a good person and a devoted father to his two little boys. Love him to pieces.
This was a quick solve including riddle. Good to see Owen and tales from the big tent.
