The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

Silliness reigns supreme on Mondays. On this Monday at least.

Pluto, once our ninth planet,
Now is planet nine no more!
Marginalized from the group of eight
Cast away on Kupier's shore!

Pluto and Charon was an oddity,
But their oddness now is found
To be so common, trans-Neptunian,
Where little planetoids abound!

Pluto can boast a halo ring of moons.
But as our tools of night mature,
Beyond Pluto, doorman to the Belt,
We'll find more wonders, that's for sure!

"Adorable?"
IN the ninth grade in my junior high we thought
ourselves mature,
and anyone in our group an oddity
who didn't.

Not my best start to the week. My eyes are giving me trouble this morning, and I have appointments at 11 and 1pm. And so a Jumble poem eluded me especially with words that were difficult to rhyme. So my apology for coming up empty-handed this morning.

As a result, Owen's verse is just a wonderful gift this morning--thank you so much! Great choice, to focus on the planets which made integrating the Jumble words so elegant and graceful. I just re-read it again, and this will be a favorite of mine.

And, Ol' Man Keith, you went exactly in the direction I wanted to go, but kept it clever and simple and brief. Wish I had thought of that--I might have come up with something, at least.

Maybe I'll try again, if I have time--but, meantime, thank you both again.

"Thanks"

Being part of a Jumble group
is both a gift and a coup.
Wish we had as many as nine,
but our small group does perfectly fine.
We do well to keep comments mature
and work hard to each other assure.
So an oddity that makes it hard to rhyme
is forgiven here, every time.
And I'm thankful that come what may,
you all help me to have a good day.

After your earlier plaint, Misty, I worried that you were taking too much on yourself.
Then you turn around and come up with this wonderful verse! I love it!
In it, you are thanking US. No need for that; we owe YOU a daily debt.

And only 20 minutes after the first post. That is really some feat!

I echo the kudos for Misty. I see Owen has jumped on NINE his way and Misty always gas sweet contributions.

OMK has gone for pith. And Wilbur? Let's try this

It was the last of the ninth and Boston's adoring fans
Saw another World Series about to die in the pan.
Their angst had matured over decades of anguish
As a group they were enured to see hopes vanish
In the oddest ways imaginable. Were the Redsox cursed?
But wait Millar just walked and running for him is the well versed
Roberts. (To be cont)
