Today’s Jumble haiku:

This is indeed a…)

Twist of Fate

When we’d flown from the
butte, and hit the canvas, my
wing man was filet’d.

"Dating Waiting"

Wendy did not want to wait
to learn her twist of fate.
She had painted a butte on canvas
and composed some music for jazz.
That night she would cook a fillet
while hearing the music play.

Soon she would hear the sound of a drone
when her boyfriend had into town flown.
Would her romance take a twist,
if lovingly she was kissed?

The fate of her awaited date
was that she found her perfect mate.

OMK- your haiku tells a sad twist of fate with that plane accident. I winced at the ending (flip achieved!).
I managed a Spooner but had to Google for an explanation. We had a diverse group of words today. (Plus the W). I had to hide the B word.

Misty takes those words and gives us a heroine who is artistic, musical and a good cook. Her boyfriend flies in in a drone(?!), romance ensues, and the perfect mate is found. Thanks for always giving us some joy.

OMK, I didn't totally get your haiku this morning, but you sure did a clever job working the J words into it. Many thanks!

CanadianEh!, hope somebody gets a good supper from your neat verse. And thank you so much for your kind words about my always sentimental offering. Much appreciated!

Well done, both of you!
CEh, a very clever title! You found a rare fish to make it possible. Be sure to remove all the bones!

Misty - Smart of you to create a multi-talented artist. Your Wendy is a prize for any boyfriend, even one who can fly in a drone.
(I guess that is the skyline equivalent of a driverless car.)

If it helps to understand my poem, the expression "to hit the canvas" means to get "knocked flat," as in a (metaphoric) boxing ring.

OMK, hope you were okay after that terrible flight. And have a safe day tomorrow.
