The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.

I couldn't give you all of "Walrus & Carpenter," Wilbur, not by heart, but I'm crackerjack at "Jabberwocky."
I once trained a collegiate team in a hip-hop version of it--to dazzle high school kids on a recruitment tour.

Sotty I haven't come up with a rhyme yet. moved into a rehab facility in Lost Almost yesterday, and while it seems like a nice enough place so far, I;m still feeling bummed about it.
So ok, we have a picture of Noah Webster talking to a friend. Caption is, "Noah Webster hadn't started work on his dictionary yet, but he was ..."

Whew! I thought the jumble was really easy; the solution kind of popped up on its own.
Owen, I hope the facility rehabs you fast so you can go home.
Sandy -- Thank you!
Hope you get good help at the rehab facility soon, but so glad you can still post with us this morning, Owen. I got all four Jumble words without any problem, but had a bit of trouble with the solution because I figured it might end with ON rather than IT. But it all worked out and it's nice to see all those volumes of books on Noah W's bookshelf.
I guess everybody's figured out the solution already. It certainly is another easy one.
Just trust your intuition. Follow your leaning; do jot down the first two words, and you'll be sure to score.
Owen, get better, man! All those rehab places are "nice enough," but as you say (and when all is said and done), they are rehab places.
I love some of the names they give these facilities. I stayed in one once that sounded like a resort on the Italian Riviera. I hope yours is a little more honest.

I had first tried "DEFINING IT" but ran out of letters. The simple J3 held me up for awhile.
Owen, I hope your spirits revive. Nothing like being home.
Sandy, nice job setting up the J.
OMK, Jabberwocky is always fun when you run into another Jabber. Ol' Dodgson must have been smoking some great stuff.
And....
It* reminds me of the big shindig at the Oceanographic Instiute . They had a big dinner for the special guests and assorted VIPs.
The campers were waiting patiently bear the acquarium where the dolphins too waited hungrily.
.
Finally came the message over the loudspeakers:
"For all in tents and porpoises, lunch is now served"
WC
* It being LC's similar use of "porpoise"
"near" the acquarium
JUMBLE SOLUTION:
given,
notch,
inform,
gaggle
"...he was MEANING TO" .."
