The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.

Going to bed now, and just did the jumble on the Chicago Tribune site. Not difficult, short solution, okay pun.
See you again much later in the morning
Thinking of you, Owen, and wishing you well.
Did the LA Times jumble this morning. Liked the cartoon with the self-promoting mug. The solution was simple & short. One would have to be greatly unaware to need more than a minute to ace it.

Hope Owen is okay--we miss you. I stupidly had problems with both the third and fourth word and looked forward to finding them in Owen's poem. I then followed Ol'Man Keith's lead, but that didn't work either. So I finally looked up the answer and after seeing the third and fourth word, I got it, finally. So, I'm afraid I was one of the greatly "unaware" this morning.
So no Owen today. I hope he just overslept.
Not feeling well enough to compose anything last night, and only slightly better this afternoon.achy and weak. some Tylenol took care of the achy, I'll have to wait for time to nix the weakness.
Glad you felt up to posting a comment, Owen. Very sorry for the continuing problems.

On the one hand I am surprised you found difficulty with today's solution. But on the other I wonder if the different pronunciations of the key word contributed to the difficulty.
Just musin'...

Sorry I've been away. Never got the Monday TBTimes, just an Ocala paper.
I did today's J and found out that the astronomical anomaly, QUASAR has two A's. But I knew the Riddle-Solution so I knew I needed an A and an E And which SQUAREs to put them in .
