The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.

Penguins like pandas, and pandas like papayas.
Penguins are unflappable, and pandas can't use pliers.
Penguins fumble on the ice, swim like fish, by golly!
Pandas pick up pawpaws from a patch down in the gully!
The jumble clues came easily and that one long word for the solution was clear after the ending was eliminated from the letters. I thought the idea was cute, though the pun was kind of a reach.
You are really good at fitting everything into a small space, Owen, and your wordplay today was hilarious. So glad you felt up to writing, and I notice you're back on the Corner too. Hope you keep improving.
Yes, it was nice to get your delightful poems both on the Corner and here on the Jumble blog this morning, Owen--many thanks. I was a little daunted at first when I saw what a long word the solution would be. But I breezed quickly through all four words and the solution came to me even before I checked it out with all the letters. I loved this cartoon with the bossy mother yelling at the squirrel, and thought the drawing with the view from the top of the tree to the ground was very clever and interesting. A fun Jumble morning for me.
A sweet poem, Owen, worthy of classic nursery rhyme status!
Goldie the goldfish watched Teena Tetra blow out a beautiful stream of bubbles. In fish communiqués, she understood the string to be a symbol of joy, a signal of how much fun the tetra was feeling, swimming in the freshly changed water of the tank they shared.
But, “Oops!” Something was missing! Goldie spotted a vacant spot in the stream-of-fun! A glaring mistake!
The tetra must have hiccupped or coughed by accident to leave such an unfilled hole. A fish typo!
Quickly, Goldie swelled her cheeks and blew a perfect fun gap bubble to fill in the missing link.
The tetra wagged her tail in appreciation.
“We fish,” wiggled Goldie’s fins, “must speak with one voice in the tank we love.”
OMK, you're priceless in your inimitable style. Great OKL stanza about papaya eating pandas. Not to speak of those unflappable penguins fumbling about on the ice .
I had the four J's at sight and the Riddle-Solution as I jotted the letters.
They should all be this easy
