BTW, Misty, you are wise to steer clear of “Stormy”—in my 1st poem (yesterday)
Stormy (if that’s her name) doesn’t do beauty contests, as she simply has no time.
She is one busy gal…
and she doesn’t much care for female company.

Today’s Jumble haiku:
(Of all the birth signs, the Ram endows its clients with a hot streak, stubborn & impulsive, that means they are quick to anger and argue. )
“Physics of Astrology”
Aries, origin
of the zodiac, offers
zesty encounters.
~ OMK
“Once More ‘round the Calendar”
From the origin of the 12-stage zodiac
‘round to its final house (from Aries in spring
to Pisces’ home), running on back-to-back
gliding through signs offering zest and zing—
you’ll find they’re full of magical things
that meet & greet us and grant our wings.
~ OMK
With naught but puzzles and poems to betide,
I lie here abed, commiting chronocide.
Rhythm and rhyme,
l'm just killing time,
Oh, how I wish I could wander outside.
Aries rams to the start of the cycle,
Taurus bulls its way in next.
Gemini provides clones to recycle,
Cancer crabs that it's too complex.
Leo roars that he rules his pride,
Virgo, shyly, is his virgin bride.
Libra weighs the balanced sides,
Scorpio slips his sting inside.
Sagittarius has equine aims,
Capricorn has zesty frolics.
Aquarius offers water games,
Pisce swims thru the hydraulics!
Back to their origin then they whiz,
Physical avatars with stary fizz!
Gotta love those apples

"Nifty Gift"
Her offer of cooking him a zesty meal
simply made his gratitude reel.
Should he try to pay her back
by helping her explore her origin
with an imaginative Zodiac track?
But in the end his knowledge of fizzics
was as bad as his knowledge of physics.
So after brooding about this for hours
he just went out and bought her some flowers.
In thanks, Misty, for her hospitality,
he may be lacking originality;
nevertheless
(if I may profess),
I’m sure she’ll allow him full shrift
in response to his thrifty
—“but “nifty—
gift.”

What we have here,
a tour ‘round the year,
is Owen’s astro-route—most scenic—
displaying his clout encyclopedic.
For a tour so neatly trim,
we say Bravo to him!

Missing words so far today
from WC & CanadianEh!
Glad they scored well in Wordle,
tho I need to suppress a chortle
rising in me for fear my prophecy
may be coming true-- i.e.,
that the W game
may consume, or at least tame
the time we give to Jumble.
('Nuff said, Keith! Shush! Be 'umble!)
~ OMK
You did it, Ol' Man Keith! All four Jumble words and solution in a delightful haiku! BRAVO! And thank you for your nifty response to my verse.
And then, amazingly, you and Owen, start taking that Zodiac around the calendar! I can promise you, Owen, that if you came up with that amazing "starry fizz," from Ares to Pisce while you were laying in bed on a quiet day--you were definitely not killing time.
The problem with your Wordles, Wilbur and CanadianEh!, is that we can't know what they are, so your posting them is not really the same as sharing them. If you could each tell us the first word you started with, I would for sure want to immediately try and see if I can't get close to your own solutions.
Have a good day, everybody.
Misty, my first W wouldn't help, I borrowed a word from the CC
But #2 was DRIVE so take it from there. We both gave a hint with out posts
OMK, I kinda dried up on the C&L saga. The wedding is Saturday so I'd better check that Chet still has his green beret
Maybe a late night smart pill will summon Erato
Speaking of, Owen outdid himself this morning on the trip around the zodiac

Home sweet home

[Chet is on the phone with his Sponsor]
"Neal, they're talking about a wedding extravaganza and Caribbean cruising
I've only been sober for a short while, a newbie at this sobriety thing"
"Chet, you must follow the system and trust that Higher Power
Who's morphed you from fear to one who no longer will cower.
The core of our process is in turning over our
Stubborn will
To that sweet Someone who's been with us all along and…
Is with us still "
When Chet got home he had a whole new attitude
He was in Harmony with life and filled with gratitude

When Chet stomped out of aunt Nora's Lois was frozen with fear
She got on the phone to Laurel whose first words were
"My dear,
How often have I drummed into that walnut of yours that prayer
Is the answer. You've got two knees, now use them." All became clear
To Lois as if doused by a pail of frozen water. She couldn't wait
To see Chet at the meeting and shout "Let's elope! Right away, today!"
And there stood darling Chet waiting at the door. And on his head?
A green beret!
Both saw the gleam in the others eye and knew they'd been in cahoots
With their sponsors. 'All the better' was the thought. The next: "Big wedding then
'Plant some roots'"
Woohoo! Took a lot of tries, but I got to join CanadianEh! and Wilbur with a Wordle today! Woohoo!

Sorry, Wilbur, didn't see your hint until after I had already posted my silly Wordle. I'll try to be more attentive on other days.
But I loved that Chet was wearing a green beret when Lois came in to tell him they should elope!
Let's hope they'll finally do it!
I did not see your Wordle, Misty, the one you mentioned to Wilbur.
Was it erased by the censor?
~ OMK
Wilbur ~ Nice to be reminded of events from the past. They still have bearing if the wedding is indeed set for this weekend.
TGIT!
(Thank God, it's Thursday--and not quite yet this Friday's wedding-eve.)
Does the Green Beret signify Chet's intention for the wedding? Is he gonna rappel down from a chopper and kidnap Lois from in front of the pastor for a daring elopement raid?!!
WooHoo!
~ OMK
Whoops!
AND the Pastor too, of course.
Misty ~ Back to you.
I checked the censored file, found your Wordle trapped in limbo, and released it back to the published posts.
I don’t know WHY the *#@! Robot picked on you,
but I hope by repeated rescues like this, I can gradually teach it a lesson.
~ OMK
Sorry all. I posted my W, but then got busy prepping for company and didn’t get back.
Good to read you all . . . and I agree that Owen’s trip around the zodiac was inspired, and he was definitely not killing time.
Yes, Misty, I could divulge my first W guess if that would not bother any of the others.
I have a few favourites- ASTER or any anagram (STEAR, STARE), sometimes the vowel-rich ADIEU, occasionally BASTE or CRANE,and rarely MOUND (or I use it for my second guess if ASTER has come up blank.
OMK- you were full of rhymes today. It has occurred to me that the AI Bot saw CanadianEh! and censored Misty’s post. Ach, but I am laughing. I have been wondering if it was an exclamation mark in my W comments that triggered it.
WC- we are waiting for the wedding!
Thank you all for your great help today. Look forward to working with you all again tomorrow!
