A lumberjack, a real tree chopper,
Brewed craft beer in kegs of copper.
His stout stood out,
His porter had clout.
But folks came back for the logger's lager!
Today’s Jumble haiku:
(Correct nomenclature is important in zoological gardens.
Confusion ensues unless proper terms are used and understood.
In an emergency, like a fire, keepers need to know instantly where to find each species.
You won’t expect to find primates in the apiary, for instance, though some think the name unlikely…)
”…Of the Bee Tent.”
A blaze in the zoo
may target the avian pen—!
(… Aviary, rather)

WC- were you taking a rest in guess three or running one lap of a race?
OMK- when did Grace become your starter (bot suggestion?). It certainly did help!
Owen- I spent more time than I should have looking for that backwards W. Good job!
Now I’ll deal with the Jumble.
For International Women’s Day, I give you a weekend with the boys. And yes, I included the W.
A Tent at (the) Jamboree
The Scouts were gathered,
The weekend promised fun.
Target shooting one by one,
Learning to start a blaze outdoor,
Navy and Army Tug of War.
But sadly, re Gals’ Day -
No Guides were allowed.
"Saved Pet"
Being attentive saved Ray's
girlfriend from the blaze.
Nothing could have been sadder
than losing her avian pet
which she had decided she would rather
leave in the care of her vet.
That had been her target,
and she did not forget
to thankfully pay her debt.
Woohoo! Got the Wordle on my third try, thanks to the helpful hint:

Misty- Whew, I am glad the pet was saved. On first reading, I interpreted lines three and four as if the bird had perished in the blaze. (Thankfully, I saw that the girlfriend was saved.) Good thing the bird was at the vets. Another interesting rhyme scheme.
Congrats on the Wordle. Looks like you unraveled it.
Quiet day here today.
Enjoyed your lumberyard poem, Owen, many thanks.
OMK, you've got me hoping there will never be a blaze in a zoo.
Delightful Jamboree poem, CanadianEh!, a real treat.
And great to see all those clever Wordles today! Thank you, everybody.
