Today’s Jumble haiku:
([This verse to be spoken aloud.]
In Russian tradition, the only couples are lovers. Or so it seems….)

“‘Tis Fated, Nyet?”

In epic lore, a
pair do always land toward love.
Cuckoo, Keith? Not so!

Sam's kleptomania started early
With the pilferage of a cookie.
Many a meal he later rued,
When a ruined appetite ensued.

Still a pattern was implanted,
His mortality wrongly slanted.
But with grief his path was flecked.
At thievery, he was inept!

He was scared to use a gun.
Without it, mugging was no fun.
He used his hairdo for a bank hit,
Disguised for his taking as cousin Itt.

So at last he was re-formed.
In prison, all his hair was shorn!

Evian is a water, in bottle
Naive poseurs to besottle.
Despite the hype
It tastes alright.
Approved by your neighbor axolotl!

Nice job, Owen, with poem #1, a classic of open embedments.
#2 is fun. But did I miss an Aztec deity in grammar school? Axolotl? Drinker of agua pura?

Owen(fln) had a very clever final post in response to my wordle "hint"

The actress was a rookie
who treated her job like a cookie.
As a result she was inept
and soon racked up a huge debt.

She decided to give up her rant
and take on a whole new slant.
She had the courage to dare to
start wearing a whole new hairdo.
And along with a new dress
started getting some better press.

Her new take was a great decision:
it got her a role on television.

WooHoo, Misty! Rhyming “dare to” with “hairdo”!
That’s brave in more ways than one.

I loved your rhythm as well as your rhyme. Good job!
I trust the rookie’s new slant included more than a new coiffure, as it is hard to imagine television cared merely for hair styling.
But then, ya never know…

Hair styling and cookies are big in Radio. Actually those cookies may be related to Social media usage.

A cookie may have alerted the TV Station that a qualified candidate was looking for a job in "media"

Many thanks for your kind comments, Ol'Man Keith and Wilbur.

Think I heard the Jumble solution in your haiku title, OMK, but had trouble finding the words--except for "cuckoo, Keith." That was clever and fun.

Then, Owen, you worked everything (except maybe the solution) into your long verse--enjoyed tracking them all down. This one will be a favorite of mine.

Wilbur, you really took the Jumble into the media varieties. Would love to have seen you put that all into a verse. But your Wordle looks amazing.

OK, Misty, Here's a replay from two years ago. That one J rang a bell

5/6/21
Seedy,Filly,Social,Exodus;Sole Sole
—----------
It was a seedy joint but Chester often went there
They did have a band and Chet listened while nursing his beer
Chet was not the social type, cared not for the fillies
"Talking to girls is not my thing, it gives me the willies."

And when the band had played its final note
And 'Last Call' was blinking and flashing on the tote
There was a mass exodus of the singles crowd into the night
The sole remaining patron was Chet, a forlorn, lonely sight

Upend,Ounce,Hairdo, Stigma;Pouring in
--------
Poor me, pour me another drink, was Chester's mantra
Play something on the jukebox. Orbison not Sinatra
How many ounces he'd had tonight ? Who's counting?
The better question. For what was his life amounting?

Despondent, he questioned just what did his life avail?
And who's the gal with the bouffant hairdo drinking ginger ale.
He never dreamed that she'd be the one to upend his dreary life
What she said to him cut to the core like a knife

"Do you have the courage to quit this lowly bar?
Come to an AA Meeting with me, don't fear the stigma".
