Herding a pig is a frustration.
You poke him to a new location.
If his attention should sag,
Let the cat from the bag,
That should move him from his station!
Charles Blondin needed something new.
Walking Niagara was becoming a snooze.
They'd rented a blimp, with his name on a banner,
But he needed something to merit the manner.
Aha! A stunt with two on the rope!
That should draw in more folks!
But finding a volunteer spelled trouble.
Someone brave enough to trust as his double.
His manager was the perfect pigeon!
He'd sit in a wheelbarrow and trust Blondin's precision!
He was forced to relent, Blondin was his meal ticket.
Frozen with terror, he had to stick with it.
The stunt worked fine, time after time.
Next it was with stilts on the rope he'd climb!

FLN- I enjoyed your Baron poem Misty. We are in suspense as to whether he marries the queen.
Double Toil and Trouble
He would not relent;
To get out in front was his intent,
With his ill-thought-out stunt
To fly up to space, in a blimp no less.
It spelled disaster - what a mess.
"Resented Routines
Susan agreed to an exercise stunt
that made her breathe heavy and made her grunt.
She was also instructed to ride a blimp,
which shook her spirits and made her wimp.
In the end, all this work she did resent
and this obliged her managers to relent.
These sharp exercises double trouble spelled,
and were stopped only when Susan yelled.
OMK- I liked your rubble title. (I plagiarized MacBeth.)
Once again, you master the art of getting those four J words into a haiku.
Owen- we get rhyming words today before we go into (insert Wordle). (And OMK rockets us right into (insert Wordle). Misty should have no trouble.
I was just in Niagara Falls on Monday, and your J poem is a great reminder of those stunt people over the years who bravely tried to cross it (or go over in a barrel). Blond in was one of the most successful and famous. But pity his poor manager! Great poem.
Misty- Susan’s stunt was almost as risky as Blondin’s, but she was not as brave (or perhaps smarter). Surprisingly, her managers relented; usually they are just looking for publicity and profits.
Today's Jumble got us all up into one version, or another, of other, or outer, space. Lots of fun. Only I have trouble getting on Wordle again these days. Wish I had written down that site I was recommended a few days ago, so I could get on again every day.
Anyway, Ol' Man Keith, your haiku was again a pleasure, and I agree with CanadianEh! that the way you work in all four J words and the solution is masterful!
Owen, your brilliantly took on OMK's final race and took us to the Moon on a rocket! We'll just pray that Blondin's stilt stunt doesn't fail.
CanadianEh!, loved the way you made us remember "Double, double/ Toil and trouble." I'd forgotten that it came from Shakespeare's "Macbeth" and had to look it up. Pretty icky that it includes not only the "eye of newt" and "toe of frog" but also the "tongue of dog."

Your poem added proof to the danger (& probable rubble) wrought by today’s J-word, Stunt!
Or maybe it was the Blimp, as Misty’s poem would suggest?
Why would you have trouble posting your w, in answer to my hinting triplet? You showed in your note to Owen that you understood the answer!
I find I always get the new W blank by entering nyt w. That’s all.
