FLN. Thanks for your concerns!
They kept my wife in the hospital all day, running many tests. The diagnosis? A *#@! kidney stone!
She was sent home with an Rx for painkillers and something to help her “pass the stone.”
It is great to have her back. Although the pain hasn’t vanished, it is much more tolerable.

Forgive me, that I haven’t enough time tonight for both my haiku and a Wordle hint.

Today’s Jumble haiku:
(The AMA is said to post secret internet recipes for medicines, accessible by MDs with a special password.
Guests can reach tamer versions, all risk free, & only with pleasant flavors.
I have tried several. My favorite promises to prevent athlete’s foot, so I swigged the entire thing…)

easy to digest.

When great effort you want to show
Take advice from a book I know
I'd give an excerpt,
But that's too much work
So I guess you'll just have to go!

Orijinz:
The Candid Camera TV show
Had folks act, when no one knows.
By candle light
Or broad daylight
Can do attitude is exposed!

The slugfest turned into a rout.
The promoters couldn't figure it out,
Why no one foresaw
Their guy had a glass jaw,
And count, one to ten, he was out!

It had started a few weeks before.
A guest coach had shown up at their door.
He said that his guy
Needed gym space nearby,
Some place with a nice canvas floor.

The coach would exude confidence.
His boy would be a major event!
Who knew that, online,
He spent wagering his time
On the opponent, with malice intent!

The match lasted less than a minute.
The arena, the ersatz coach wasn't in its
He was off on a train
To his next confidence game --
Boxing Digest even thought him legit!

OMK- glad to hear that your wife is back home. Apparently, kidney stones can be one of the most painful maladies - even worse than childbirth. I hope things clear up soon.

Here’s a W poem for Misty. (Owen hid the W cleverly in another word, plus a definition.)

I am always on the alert
To not eat too much dessert,
As that would my diet subvert.
Instead my muscles I _ _ _ _ _

It’s Out Lugged

The online ad for this spa weekend
Exuded activities the calories to expend.
With healthy meals to digest,
It touted its chef to be the best,
Plus a gym in which to exert,
And instructors to keep you unhurt.
Guests even carry their own luggage!

Owen gives us a con game with his coach, OMK gives us online potions, while I thought of a spa. Let’s see where those J words take Misty’s imagination.

Owen- Orijinz took 25 seconds today as I took your clue literally and got the last two letters wrong. A quick reckoning corrected it.

"Guest Mess"

The program received a request
to have an actor perform as a guest.
The show would be aired online
and the performance was expected to shine.

But the actor came on and was rude
and did nothing but rancor exude.
He ignored every request,
which the viewers did poorly digest.

In the end, he almost slugged the show host,
and the actor's reputation is now toast.

Misty- yes, that guest did create quite a mess. But you got all the J words wonderfully included. And wasn’t RANCOR in the crossword the other day? It isn’t just food that can be digested, as you remind us. After his rude performance, I think that actor deserves to be toast.

Ol' Man Keith, I hope your wife feels even better today than yesterday. And it's just wonderful that she's at home and not in the hospital. Take good care of her!

Owen, glad you didn't exerpt yourself too much in writing all those cool verses. They were much appreciated.

Canadian, many thanks for helping me get the final rhyme of your verse in my Wordle:
Wordle 818 1/6

🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

But it took a while because it wasn't overt,
and did me to many other words divert.
But I refuse to linguistics to convert
because that's way too much energy to exert.

CEh, I like how your title relates to your self-help finale!
What an idea--for your de luxe spa!
No bell hops need apply.

Thanks for your kind words about my wife--and thanks for stepping in with the hint-piece for Ms. Misty!
It's a good 'un!

Misty ~ Thanks again; this is Janice's day to rest up.
Your rude actor reminds me of a certain type.
A few younger actors, after being fortunate enough to be cast in one or two leading parts, start to believe they will always be the "stars" of whatever project lies in their future.
This is rarely the case. Meanwhile, they may be treating the world as if it owed them an unearned amount of respect.
You will hardly ever find such rudeness among veteran players.
