Today’s Jumble haiku:
(Archie, the last of his unit to survive,
slowly turned the barrel
toward the head of the mountain pass.
He’d repaired the gun mount, jamming it to keep his target in view.
Now, he just had to calm his jangled nerves,
stay awake another five minutes, and…)

Aim So, Aim So…

Fire that rummy gun,
quash enemy’s exodus,
& slow my octane…”

Misty ~ We haven’t seen a Wordle diagram from you lately.
Are you still unable to access it?

"Decline"

Ron played a good game of rummy,
he certainly was no dummy.
His ability players to quash,
slowly made him rich and posh.

But eventually the time came
for his exodus from the game.
Ron had lost a great deal of octane,
and he was no longer the same.

Ol' Man Keith, thanks for asking. Wordle stopped working for me a while ago, but when I tried it today, it worked again. Many thanks, and many thanks for your kind hint.

The Little People lived on honey and dew,
And where they dwelt, as the band well knew,
There was danger from cats,
And also mice and rats,
But not people, they could only be seen by a few!

Orijinz:
He flew thru the skies when a hill was in danger.
To the echidna he was no stranger!
Every aardvark knew,
And pangolin, too,
Atom Ant was adamant, denying them their manger! <a

OMK, I loved the way your Maggie loved her little doggies. Don't remember pups' fur having a nice smell, but why not? Would make it a lot nicer to have them around the house.

Owen, great to have you check in. Hope those cats, mice, and rats won't hurt your Little People. And it looks as though the world around Atom Ant was pretty troublesome and dangerous too. Hope everyone survived okay.

CanadianEh!, we know you're busy. But we just want you to know we miss you!

It was a futile job for the firefighters, but they kept encouraging each other by repeating their motto:
“So Aim, So Aim”

The exodus caused by the evacuation
Sucked the octane out of that location.
No one would ever dwell there again;
Hopes were quashed that it might rain.
What a crummy ending.

Good to see you Owen. I saw the W past tense, but then noticed that you had also hidden the actually W just a few words down the line. Lovely Little People poem.

Misty- yes, I was away at a funeral (too many of them recently) and then a concert in the park to soothe my soul. I hope you get a chance to see my late offering. I enjoyed your poem about Ron. It is often hard to realize when is a good time to stop an activity or job. At the top or continue on but at a mediocre calibre? Ron decided to quit while he was ahead.

OMK- Haha, our titles are hilarious, but what else could we do? What a back story! It was almost better than your wonderful haiku.
I smiled when I saw Quash as a J word today. It was my guess for yesterday’s W before I got Gnash.

Misty ~ Glad you have your Wordle back & got today’s W in one.
Glad too that your Ron did so well. His stakes weren’t quite so high as my Archie’s, but I’m sure they counted for him.

Your location, CEh, was left in terrible shape. Sorry to see how the J-words led to a depressed conclusion.
But I suppose my ending was (or will be) at least as negative.
Yep, our titles were kinda predictable…

Good to see you back, Owen, and I’m happy to wish well to your little people.

So great to have you back after your very busy day, CanadianEh!. And I never thought I'd start enjoying negative verses, but after all this time you've brought me around to loving yours. The one today was especially cool because it used the J words so well! Woohoo!
