Today’s Jumble haiku:
(In Boy Scouts, we knew straight miles were the worst. Circular ones weren’t so bad. Ovals were in between.
But those oblong ones we never figured out, and…)
“Hills ‘ll Bury Us”
We wrapped our hikers’
feet in gauze after sinful
miles. Ten oblong miles.

We look into an ancient age of man,
When cavemen were the only ones on land.
That Paleolithic era,
When metal was much rarer,
And chips were manufacturing by hand.

"Teen-age Living"
Henry was a great hiker
and on weekends rode as a biker.
When he crashed, he had to take a pause,
while they covered his wounds with gauze.
He recovered before too long
and for his church composed a song.
Some poems he wrote were hilarious,
not sinful, but a bit precarious.
As the end of his teens drew near,
he started looking for a new career.
Between hiking & biking, Misty, Henry wouldn’t have had time for an “old” career.
My guess is he is looking to start his first or only career as his teen years are slipping away.
If he hasn’t already been studying for his future occupation, he’d better start cracking—and maybe give up one of his peripatetic pastimes to do so!
Good luck to him!

Ol' Man Keith, my goodness, after hiking ten miles, you would certainly need gauze to heal your feet. Hope it all turned out well.
I just couldn't figure out your Wordle answer this morning, though I tried and tried. And then just a few minutes ago, I got it! Woohoo! Thanks, as always, for your helpful and delightful verse:

And thank you for your good advice to Henry: I'll try to remember to pass it on to him.
Owen, your verse certainly gave us an intriguing history of the pre-metal past. Very interesting!
CanadianEh!, your Wordle clearly got the answer to 's verse too, from what I gather from your delightful comment. Good for you! And thanks for checking in with us on a busy day.
