Missy wanted to be real, not her parents' doll!
A New Age was upon us, that wouldn't do at all!
Let them misuse their wealth, she wouldn't care,
But she would pack her trunk and be out of there.
Where to go was a question, before she ran away.
Flower children communes were long gone, passe.
Greenpeace seemed an option, sailing out to sea.
But she didn't favor icy cold, and did enjoy her sushi.
The circuses were all gone, she couldn't be a clown.
A roadie for a rock band? They'd surly turn her down.
She yearned for primal nature, close to Mother Earth.
So she decided on a farm, growing pot in potted dirt!
Weighing the cartoon & poem together poses curious thoughts. What would Ms. Missy do if she were a child of Nature? I suppose she would just go, leave home in an instant w/o pondering her options. She might not survive, but she'd have the privilege of perishing authentically. Or, if she happened to luck into her pot farm, she could have the double delight of "living in the moment"--in bliss. Aah...
Nature saves the mother deer much fussing & fretting. Each step is "in the moment." And her fawn doesn't have to wonder where its next meal is coming from. Imagine if the baby had to decide between mom's milk and the doe's in the next copse. Or where to find the dough to pig out on a Happy Meal.

Actually I know someone who tried a pot farm. But they didn't know how to make it profitable. No bliss.
Interesting poem; I wonder just how much wealth Missy ran away from.
The jumble was straightforward. I did write out the letters for the 6-letter clues, but then the words basically wrote themselves, as did the solution. Kind of cute. That doe surely did pick a strange place to give birth, though, didn't she?
With a bunny for a nanny & a squirrel for a sitter!
I sorta struggled through like Sandy. The first word was obvious and quickly gave the second.
Problem is I completely forget the words if I can't refer to my written source .
