|| || putty, wheel, entice, toffee, two left feet.
The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.

Too right, jumble writers -- easy clues, cute idea, funnee solution. But what I really like is the tutu on the dancing teacher!
She was a vamp, a vixen, a sly seductres.
That was her job description as a succubus.
To entice weak fools, and wise strong men,
And draw out their souls along with semen.
Men were putty in her hands, low or lofty.
Their male parts she devoured like toffee.
An occasional woman joined her collection,
Two feet to the left of the natural affection!
The wheel of life and the gears of fate
Determined who she'd take as a mate.
One night she would stay, to drain his sac,
The rest of his life, he'd pine for her back!
Wow! Can't think of anything else to say.
These words today begged for a poem about pottery throwing, but I know just enough about the process to know I know nothing about it! Fortunately, Erato came thru with an ode to one of her cousins, and much more poetically than I've been the past couple days!
Bravo, Owen!
Erato came through in spades!
And yes, Sandy, that tutu is something else. But how about the dancing teacher being a pig?!
Fun to see the jumble bringing a common insult to literal life.

I loved this Jumble--got all four words without any problem at all, and pretty much guessed the solution from that poor little steed's troubled expression before I even checked the letters to make sure I had it right.
Like Sandyanon, can't think of much to say about the poem.
Have a good weekend coming up, everybody.
OMK, if a horse is taking dancing lessons, doesn't it make perfect sense that his teacher is a pig? Certainly not a cow! Maybe a goat?
The final solve made me laugh because, of course, it's true! Very clever. All the words were in my wheelhouse so none of it took too long. Brilliant as always, Owen. My daughter and granddaughters all took ballet lessons so that picture brought back some good memories. There is a book series about a dancing ballerina pig, Angelina which they read and cherished.
I raced through and had it all in one minute . Except....
I had EFFORT for #4 and never checked for letters.
I can saw Owen's solution in FB and did a double take .
Owen , you need a PGF rating for that kind of poem. Misty , Lawrence ventured in those racy waters, I'm sure your Joyce studies included DH

Speaking of... How'd "Portrait.." go?
