The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

I don't quite see how that's a pun at all. Literal meaning, yes, but how is a metaphoric meaning even applicable? Or necessary??
Sandy ~ Agreed! Because the Jumble cartoon and caption only convey a literal meaning. For some reason, they simply ignored any second sense—such as the one in my verse below.
”A Shopper Raising a Stink”
Daisy Duck raised a squawk
protesting price robbery in the mall.
“I won’t be buying any fake schlock!
Don’t try me with shams; I know ‘em all.”
She’d set her sight: “I need a lure…”
—she was seeking just one major totem—
“…to draw the stink & effect a cure,
the fetish of fetishes ultra pro tem!”
She’d been all over town,
on her own “shopping dragnet,”
failing—with a frown—
to “find a Mickey Mouse Magnet!”

"Good Solution"
Daisy didn't think
her new puppy would raise a stink.
But the neighbors began to squawk
and insisted that they talk
about taking the dog to a vet
and securing a noise magnet.
They were willing to pay the price,
and it all turned out very nice.
Wow! A three stanza verse from you this morning, Ol' Man Keith--very impressive.
Loved your rhyming SQUAWK with SCHLOCK, and TOTEM with PRO TEM. You're quite a poet, but, of course, you know it. Congratulations!
Thank you very much, Misty!
That's a pretty good deal for Daisy's new puppy, to have neighbors willing to pay the vet bill for her!
Of course, it "all turned out very nice."
(Did they get the stink fixed too--along with the noise?)

I'm going to cheat especially since one of the words is so recent

_slosh, daisy, kitten, swivel, seal with (a) kiss
-----------
Chet and Lois went for a walk though the sky was a bit hazy
The skies opened up, they sloshed around like crazy
Chet thought Lois was like a wet kitten but cute as a daisy
For when she swiveled those hips Chet was in a state of bliss
He couldn't wait to get her home, confess his love
And seal it with a kiss.

So, Wilbur, the relationship is progressing. If we get a jumble about marriage one day, I bet Chet and Lois will take their vows. That would be great, don't you think?
Delightful to learn how Chet and Lois's relationship began and is now progressing. I love following it--many thanks, Wilbur.
Two real good ones from Keith and Misty. I didn't know the duck franchise trucked with Mickey etal
Misty, as OMK pointed out that economical and tells a neat story
The poor puppy didn't stink the Karen's in the neighborhood did but , as noted, buy the "noise magnet".
Is there such a thing?

I couldn't grok the riddle-solution yesterday but did come up with the six J's
Today I was stuck until I realized it was MAGNET not manage
Oops, this never got posted
