The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

Nitpickery to follow:
The word "then" in the cartoon implies a sequence of events. Howver, the literal meaning of both relevant words (cartoon and solution) gives two ways of describing a single event. I get the double meaning of the solution word itself, but still don't think the cartoon caption is appropriate.

See how I get all tangled up in the details!!! I would never be able to create puns.

Sandy ~ But if you did, they would surely be most elegant.

”Lagoon Lacuna”

Dolly Doily took
an azimuth of the bay,
but error skew’d it.

I almost ran aground in the lagoon even after the rest added up

"Recovery"

Kathy totaled her car
and could no longer travel far.
So she created a sweet cartoon
about a girl who lived near a lagoon,
and sewed a doily and made peanut butter,
and in her spare time cleaned out her gutter.

Her cartoon became a token
that even when your car is broken
you could still have good times joking.

HAPPY FIRST FULL DAY of SPRING!
Good to see Lemonade here again, even if to remark on a near-smashup!

And, Misty, I am gladdened your "Kathy" found productive ways to pass her time, despite her lack of transportation.
Actually, what with rapid home deliveries and video streaming, who needs to leave home these days?

Were you able to decode today's haiku?
I had to leave the solution to the general comport or tone of the piece, but you should be able to find all the J-words.
