Today’s Jumble haiku:
(Up in Northern California is a place called”Bumpass Hell,” where sulfurous mud pits bubble up from the earth. You can get a trained nurse to sponge bathe you in this “devil’s dew,” and ‘tis said you’ll feel radiant with good health…)

”Glowed from what Flowed”

It’s a rarity
that seldom offends, the oomph
from muddy pit baths.

Some use this word to rhyme with “friend,”
while others make it scream in pain.
But you’re sure to hear it often, and then,
you’ll hear it repeated over and …..

(He got) Off (at the) End

The rider landed with an oomph,
The off-road trail was a muddy mess,
It was a rarity to even finish, let alone triumph.
But this wasn’t his first rodeo, and my goodness -
He won again.

OMK- great imaginative haiku today. I loved the title. I gave up trying to use the J answer a a title and used one of the other words.

"Glad Giving"

Although her yard was muddy,
Mary was at work in her study.
She was poor, so it was a rarity
that she was writing a check for charity.

She hoped this would not her friends offend,
that a small donation she would send
with a bit of oomph, glad to be giving
even though she barely made a living.

Happy to ride on this new road,
she was cheerful and her face glowed.

And I liked your title, CEh!
INOffensive, to say the least!
Your rider was well-practiced, I see, achieving glory even in a mud hole.

Not bad on your Wordle, seeing as it is an elusive one…

Misty ~ I am sure all gifts are gladly received, even Mary’s pittance.
The managers of her charity are not only greatly appreciative; she can be sure of one thing else:
they will be back.

Thank you, thank you, Ol' Man Keith--your helpful verse once again gave me a great Wordle gift:

Once again, I am so thankful!

I don't know how you do it, OMK, but you once again worked all four J words and solution into your haiku and title! Congratulations!

Woohoo! CanadianEh!, your rider won a rodeo once again. Woohoo!

Terrific Wordle, Owen, you almost got it!

Have a good day, Wilbur, and check in with us again, if you can do so later.

Good for you on the W, Misty--and congrats to Owen for doing nearly as well!
I lucked out in the J-words today because of my old memory of visiting Bumpass Hell when I was a kid. Otherwise, I doubt those words could be jammed in so small a verse.
Only the 2nd part (the sponge baths) took imagination, CEh, as the first part is perfectly factual.
Google it to see the mud and fumes bubbling up from the ground.

OMK- I have learned something new again today.
Thanks.
Misty- Mary is generous like the woman in the Biblical parable who gave her last coin.
I loved your rhyming rarity with charity.

Canada-eh, I didn't realize you were dealing with situations the last month or two

You persevered very well with poetry every day

Now tomorrow, I just don't get the paper until too late, then it's the lengthy xword. I may knock off wordle in the next hour
