Today’s Jumble haiku:
(No backstory, just driving hazards.)

Funyuns Inn(gested Can Distract from Driving Be-)fore the Light(, but also…)

A tuner’s length makes
reaching 90 FM hard,
a high-risk misfit.

I aced the test, let's celebrate!
There's no more need to cerebrate!
I feared I'd fail
Part E's travail,
But now to the frat house let's gravitate!

I started out sewing, and might have solved in two tries if I hadn’t stopped off at the dermatologist before the celebration.

The age-old dilemma— be seen as a fool and flee, or stand up for yourself.
Nin(ny)or Fight

Treated like a misfit,
Not in tune or agreement,
Eyes streaming as an onion can elicit,
He ran the length of the room to exit
The party where he got such treatment.

"Good Cook"

The diner owner found Molly a misfit
and wanted to make her quit.
But she had developed an onion stew
that suddenly many new customers drew.
And although the dish was odd and quaint
it helped the diner reach a new length.

And so the owner sensed a new tuner
and was thankful he had not fired her sooner.
Molly's recipes continue to make the place bright
and bring in new epicures every night.

Ol' Man Keith, sorry I didn't get your missing word yesterday. I tried, but none of the ones I came up with (bet, vet, debt, pet) worked. So I was looking forward to solving the one today, but you haven't posted it yet. Hope you'll give it to us before too long.

Nice W work WC.
Owen- I found the W in line 4. Off to the frat house.
Misty- give the W a whirl. Celebrate.

OMK- what a convoluted title! And what an assortment of unrelated words the J gave us today. I loved your Funyuns. And a practical warning about driving distracted.

Misty- you did a great job of combining all the J words into a poem. Tuner is a bit of an outlier, but desperate measures eh! We need Molly’s onion stew recipe. (Just an aside, that epicure makes me want a manicure and pedicure!)

Sorry, Misty. You may have not noticed, but all of yesterday's rhymes (except one) were TWO syllables.
I will leave it at that for now. I haven't done the W for today. When I come back, I will look for others' hints.

Ol' Man Keith, is it possible that one way for a generation to create would be to "beget"? Makes a lot more sense than having it "forget."

Ol' Man Keith said...

Absolutely. BEGET is the Biblical/Genesis word and the correct Wordle answer. Each generation BEGETs the following generation. Adam BEGAT Cain & Abel etc.
Is it too late to enter it?
If you’ve done today’s on your own, it would be fun to see your hint—before I tackle it.

Your poem’s Molly seems to be a terrifically inventive cook. I am not sure what the owner was doing with a tuner, unless the place offered light piano music for calm digestion!

A creative use of your title, CEh!.
Your poem’s “hero” sure didn’t hang around to give his foe(s) another chance!

Woohoo! Woohoo! Thanks to some of your helpful hints I did get Wordle on the second try:

Ol' Man Keith, hope your radio didn't make it too hard for you to get to your Fun Inn.
Hope you had a great time there!

Wilbur, you and CanadianEh! both got Wordle on the third try! I think you should celebrate together!

CanadianEh!, maybe you could invite that poor fellow in your verse to attend your and Wilbur's neat event. He needs to join a crowd that will cheer him and make him happy!

Hey, why don't you both get in touch with Owen?

Owen, do you think the frat house would be okay if Wilbur and CanadianEh! attend there as well? Maybe you could even invite OMK. (No, don't bother to invite me. I'm 78 years old, and I have to keep my drinks pretty modest these days).

Anyway, have a great time, everybody!
