"Didn't work"

She worked hard on Friday's Jumble
to forge a poem, if humble.
It was easy to rhyme the word 'clung'
with dung or with rung or with sung.
And if someone was really bored,
she could have him starting to hoard.
But what figure could she make nice
that had nothing to do but splice?
Hey, a new setting might get her seeing
someone outdoors, maybe doing some skiing.
In the end she fussed and mussed
and gave up--completely non-plussed.
So this Jumble yielded no verse,
and left her just wanting to curse.

A delightful, poem, Misty!
A theme of "No Theme"; or, rather, a theme "in search of a theme."
No need to curse yourself at the end--except of course in your fictional voice.
I think it a smart choice, especially when the clue words are exceptionally random.

I will probably skip versifying today. Kinda shot my wad yesterday as Keith the Lame.
I say "probably" because, who knows? --the spirit may yet move me before the day is out.

In other news today, we are faced with a mixed bag in the headlines, with many unsure* whether to pray for a certain leader's recovery or to yell out, "Karma" and/or "Irony"!

Hi!

OMK, my friend Becky just told me that our leader has been admitted to Walter Reed Hospital. Hard not to hope for a better election outcome than we had feared, isn't it.

Not to sound unacceptably political, but he ain't MY leader!
