FLN, Wilbur ~ I’m afraid I didn’t quite understand your reference to your Wordle no-E opening.
But I enjoyed reading your latest Chet/Lois poem.
Their dialogue flows easily. They’re lucky to be sharing so many private gags.
I wasn’t sure, though, whether your last line was sarcastic or not.

WC- great update on Chet and Lois last night. I love their AA date!
OMK- re Wordle, I think WC refrains from using an E in his first guess. OTOH, I nearly always use it; my starter is usually either vowel-rich like ADIEU, or commonly-used letters as in STARE (or STEAR), BEAST, BEAST, ROAST, or MEANT. Today my first guess was useless (other than eliminating five letters), and second was not much better.
I like to vary my starter, sometimes using a j-word. I avoid the E so I can use it on #2.
Ironically, the solution was virtually the only word which could fit.

and with few valuables to lock.
These steps helped to ease her debt,
and so she celebrated with cheap wine
drunk from an old and cracked goblet.

Yes, I'm afraid I don't remember Tuesday, but been having a busy week, so it probably just slipped by, OMK. But I love your clues, and I don't mind them being a bit revealing. I could have thought of other Wordle possibilities that might have left me struggling a bit more, but was so excited when it turned out to be right.
Tuesday's W was WOVEN.
I was just curious as to what you thought of that hint. I gave it Par 4, a high level of difficulty.
I pondered over how much to tell you.

OMK, I had to think about who or what could be found at children's parties (not that I've been to one in decades) for today's Wordle answer.
I thought of CAKES, but that's not a person. Then BAKER, but that has two vowels, not one. Then AUNTS, but that's two persons, not one, and still has two vowels; UNCLE? No, again, two syllables, two vowels. GRAMPS, one syllable, one vowel, but one too many letters. And so it went until I got the solution. Woohoo!
OMK, Unquestionably those who are 1. New to AA, 2. Are in the VIPER state ie. DeNile, 3. Haven't completed Step 1...
They often use "blather" to describe what they hear at meetings.
But...
Under the "lash of alcohol" many come to listen closely.
Perhaps Chet and Lois can explain furthur.
