"Pet Problem"
The teacher was happy to retire
because he could now a creature acquire.
He was willing a stray pony to accept,
which for safety in his garage he kept.
But the pet started out as a sad misfit
when on the first day the teacher's finger he bit.
But right after that the pony looked so sad,
that the teacher thought maybe he's not so bad.
And since the pony clearly did repent
his owner also did relent
and kept him. And now there's a new report
that teacher and pony live in joyous comfort.
Dressed in Khaki for the Kool-aid
The sect leader thundered on,
โYou misfits must repent
Eschew your creature comforts
And retire to the joyous safety of our compound.
Accept my leadership and I will be your saviour.โ
Ah, Misty, your offering today is more positive than mine! What a great ending, โin cosy comfortโ.
Nice work on Wordle today WC. That last letter was tricky.
We wait with bated breath for an update on C&L!
Nice to see a threesome keeping the flame alive this Sunday morning,
while I return to my old habit of resting on the Sabbath.
I see solid W diagrams, knocking it out in 4, from both WC & CEh!
Did you encounter any problem with posting today?
Todayโs poetry feels appropriate for Sunday. CEh! gives us a warning in the voice of a Jim Jones-type false Messiah, while Misty offers a tale that could serve as a true sermon.
Her ponyโs repentance warms the heart of the bitten teacher, reminding us that all is not lost when forgiveness is at work.
Can we get an Amen?

I thought I got this right away when I learned it ended in a vowel, but it only worked now, after again several tries:

You got it in 4, too, Misty, and without any hint!
Good job!
Did you mean you had trouble posting?
By "several tries," did you mean levels within Wordle, or attempts to post?

Amen from this Corner!
Woohoo! Four line Wordles this morning from all three of us, Wilbur, CanadianEh! and myself, and none of us appear to have had any problem posting them. I liked your dramatic verse, CE, and thank you, too, for the kind comments Ol' Man Keith, and for checking in with us. I would say a good Sunday, all around.
I'm reposting an oldie with a wordle connection

"I've been itching to get to know you better, Chet ",
[Lois recounted]
When she finally got to sit down with him. "Is it time yet?"
They'd found a quiet Cafe with the imposing moniker: "The Habonero Hut"
[Lois continues]
"In order to combat the tyrant alcohol, I got an antique for a sponsor, but
Despite her misgivings about relationships for which she had a healthy fear
She gave me permission to ask you to come tonight, since you'd completed a year "
Now how the two managed to separate from the group is a story in itself
The movie was horse manure, another tale of the perils of ill-begotten wealth.
The first words Lois said were "I see you've ditched those khakis you wore that first night.
I'm so happy to see you've prospered in the program and stayed on the bright*"
* An e term that's been replaced by "Clean"(and sober)
Too late to respond tonight, but I'll try to respond to your Chet and Lois posting tomorrow, Wilbur.
