Big Cat Rescue houses lions and tigers Lynxes and bobcats and a tigon and liger, There's two panthers, sisters, a matching set, Who prowl their private forest, cats black as jet!
From extinct circuses, defunct private zoos, Overgrown exotic pets, and wild injured, too. No longer in cages, they've habitats like home A few fenced acres they're free to roam.
From the gazebo in the hub of their ranges Volunteers monitor for well-being changes. They're well-fed and tended, get a vet's care. Living lives out with more zest than elsewhere.
When I am absent, I hope someone will step in and give crossword-type clues. For example, today's words, not in order

These are all Cryptic clues, including both the word and some wordplay with the word.
Well, I got the first three Jumble words but couldn't get the fourth, no matter how hard I tried. But I still got the solution instantly--thank goodness it was so brief and clever. Then came to your delightful poem, Owen, and read it through twice. Loved seeing your solution right there in the first verse. And then found the missing fourth item in your second verse. I just love your poems--for their own sake, but also for their fun revelations of the Jumble words. Many thanks for that, especially this morning.

I had some problems with clue 3, and went to your poem. There it was. The solution was pretty easy, with or without word 3, being so short and sweet.
I've been away for a few days, and glad to be back. Visited my only great grandchild for his first birthday.
BTW, what's a stand to look upon Diddley?
