|Smiley face| _staff, patio, hidden, spiral, hit (the) spot.

The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

This solution hit me immediately -- my first idea was spot on.

Monday jumbles are even easier than Monday crosswords. Of course, jumbles are a lot shorter than crossword puzzles; that may have something to do with it!

”Can You Spot It?”

Its spiral’s hidden
by the flag staff’s shade, past the
patio: A snail.

"Celebration"

The patio party went viral
when the cheers began to spiral.
They celebrated the staff
with jokes that made everyone laugh.
Some of the insults had to be hidden
and were considered forbidden
and generally unfit
with insufficient wit.
But in the end, what the staff enjoyed most
was their host's generous toast.

A fine, upbeat poem from Misty, celebrating what seems to be a company "roast" that turns with warm feeling into a "toast"!

Yes, Misty's tale flowed smoothly and was typical of LAWN PARTIES with disparate office-mates

I guess PATIO gave both of us suggestions for LAWN PARTIES, as Wilbur suggests, Ol' Man Keith.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could all enjoy a blog party, right here on Jumble sometime. It would be great to see everyone's faces, and share drinks and jokes, and have appetizers. Well, I suppose this is virtually impossible, but at least it's a fun fantasy.

But that would mean, Misty, I would have to overcome my growing agoraphobia, lately enhanced by the stay-at-home pandemic.
It was a chore for me to face people long enough to get my 2nd booster today.

No LAWN PARTY here!
I feel like the snail in this morning's haiku (one of my favorites), finding comfort in the shade that hides us from the world.

Well, congratulations on your second booster shot, OMK.
I have a Covid 19 Vaccination Record Card in my wallet, which has me listed as receiving three inoculations in 2021. Hope that means I'm up to date and in good shape.

Misty ~ The best word from the CDC, supported by the White House, is that the original inoculations have all worn down--at varying rates. My Moderna shots seem to have been the best, followed by Pfizer, with the J&J apparently the weakest of all.
Two boosters now have been recommended. We are asked to time the latest at least four months after the most recent. Unfortunately, they came out with the new release LATER than the 4-month window!

My last booster, at my local pharmacy, was in October of 2021. Therefore my shot today--same pharmacy--was a full six months after the last.

Cut to the chase:
I don't know when you got your third shot in 2021, but if you really want to keep your immunity strong--especially if you meet with student seniors--you should get a booster NOW, as it is already four months into 2022.
