The star of the group
wore a silky loop
at the show's finale,
which caused fans to rally.
They met on the quad
cheering in front of the facade.
The performance ended a crisis
of falling ticket prices.
Now things were no longer a mess,
with the theater group a success.
So my problem is that I can see the cartoon on the Tribune site, but not here, and that site isn't showing me any blanks for the solution. What a pickle!
I can, however, do what I presume is today's Wordle.

That doesn't look like what happened: one letter right the first guess, three the second guess and all five the third.
I guess the Wordle site isn't recirding my statistics,so I'm apoarently still not getting the ful website?

I did try one Wordle this morning via the N.Y. Times.
You beat me by a mile. Although I got 3 letters in the right place on my 2nd try, it took me a total of 5 (14 minutes) to succeed. The word was slightly obscure, Biblical.
No wasted letters, but still….
Not much fun.

Yesterday, my best guesses came down to either exist or HEIST. I tried exist first.
Today it was also a tossup in choosing from two very close words that were only different with the last letter. I again chose the wrong word first (in row 4).
I turned off "High Contrast" mode in the settings today. My yellow and green look fine here, but when I play the game, the hues are quite different.

Sandy, congrats on solving Wordle in 3 rows today. BTW, if you have your browser settings for Incognito Mode or Private Window, then the game records (statistics) won't be saved on your computer.
Also, I did a search on "daily jumble" and plated it at the USA Today.

On the USA Today page, the vertical scroll bar is at the extreme right of the screen.
One of the other links that was found with that search was the Chicago Tribune site.

On the Chicago Tribune page, the vertical scroll bar is about 2/3rds of the way to the right.
Both pages required that I scroll down to get to the blanks where the cartoon's answer goes in. Hope that helps.

pretty damn good you're gonna solve a Wordle in at least five tries.
If you take care not to repeat any of the loser letters and--
exercise reasonable anagrammatical skill.
I mean, we know we have only 26 letters in the English alphabet, and we'll have covered 25 of them in five levels.
Duh.
I guess there's a simple pleasure in playing with the house odds on OUR side--for once.
And sometimes (like with Sandy) we can do better than five.

OMK, that's not true if you are playing the game in Hard Mode. In Hard Mode, you cannot "use up" 25 letters in 5 rows.

Note the * next to CanadianEh!'s score today. The * means that she plays in Hard Mode.
You can change the game from Easy to Hard in Settings.

Finished my class, and finally looked at your intriguing verse, OMK. Vices are appalling, aren't they? Just wish I knew what the cartel's vices were? As always, your economy dazzled me.
Misty ~ I would guess that my cartel's vices are revealed in their deadly finales.
The usual trafficking for such cartels is with drugs--perhaps one more layer of vice.
I wonder what you're referring to with that "silky loop." Is it a sly reference to the new Broadway musical, A Strange Loop?

I suppose I'll have to look up this Hard Mode; I just played the "hand I was dealt."
