I should have picked a different 5 letter word from today's LAT.
One would have come very close !

TTP, since you're here...

What's with new format for blogger. Preview is gone as is the view after four lines. OK 5. Is the idea short posts?

I'm less impacted because I compose in Docs and paste here. I proofread there.

And the paste blue button is right next to Publish.

Hi Wilbur, I was away from the laptop while making breakfast and then cleaning up the kitchen again.

I'm not sure what you mean. I see no changes in either the input panel area of Owen's Jumble page or on the Crossword Corner page.

Generally speaking though, there are two versions of most blogspots. It does depend on the blogspot owner and the theme they've used, as well as the options they've configured.

There's the website version that people will see when using computers and tablets. The other version is mobile, for phone users. The mobile version has the same content as the website version, but it has been optimized to fit the smaller screens, so the format may look a little different.

You can easily see the difference between the two when comparing the displayed output ona computer and on a cell phone. It's super obvious on the Crossword Corner blogspot when you look at them side by side.

If you are on a cellphone, you can scroll all the way down and press the "Website Version" button.

But if something has changed for you alone, then check your phone's display settings. Is it possible you changed a default setting or font size ?

I am happy to find myself at the proper locale today, after yesterday’s problem. While I unscrambled all the Jumble words, I am still working on the final answer. I may need to huddle with my fellow-bloggers for that.
But Wordle was a success story today. May I swoon over my good fortune. No trash talk today.

"Graceful Place"

The hallowed locale made her smile,
and they stayed there for quite a while.
It was quiet and hidden, so they could huddle
and kiss with bliss, and cuddle.
This made both her and her partner swoon
as their romance flew over the moon.

Woohoo! Thanks to your posting, CanadianEh!, I was able to locate today's Worlde site for the first time today. Then I followed the hints and I got the correct answer! Woohoo!
If this keeps up, I may become a Wordle regular too! Many, many thanks!

Loved your delightful morning offering, OMK. Cheerful, happy theme, with all the Jumble words but one. One of my favorite haikus of yours.

Hope Owen and Wilbur will check in with verses too--and anybody else.

Glad you liked my little verse, Misty. I wasn't sure if my reference to fainting mothers would be understood--as a reaction to their kids' rough n' tumble scrimmage practice.

Your reference to a "Graceful Place" reminds me of a certain hideaway I enjoyed in my very, very early days, dating my HS sweetheart. We had our own (ahem) hidden place.
But then I imagine many, if not most, of us mature folk have our own recollections.
The part that really had me smile was how "their romance flew over the moon." That lunar destination has more than one meaning for those of my generation who recognize it as either
(a) flying high, figuratively, or
(b) Jackie Gleason's "To the moon, Alice!"

BTW, Misty were you able to find information about yesterday's "Cargo cult"?
I think photos of their fake airplanes are especially enjoyable.
They would gather round those works of art and pray and sing to lure more planes down.
None landed. But they truly lived in hope.

I just looked up "Cargo cult," and it certainly is a strange phenomenon that I had never heard before. My site didn't have the photos of fake airplanes, but I'll see if I can find them on some other sites. And I also looked up Jackie Gleason's expression, and was surprised by its at least metaphoric nastiness. I used to watch Gleason's TV show when I was young and actually enjoyed it, so I guess I got that it wasn't a real threat but just Ralph blowing off his nastiness.

The things you learn on television--and on the web.

Misty, that was a lovely, romantic poem earlier

TTP, indirectly you've hinted at my problem. It's got to do with the two versions of blogger: PC and Android. Apple may have another. As has happened in the past, they focused on the PC code and were careless with the cellphone people .

Who has access to the voders for correction of Bible's. Mainly: 1. NO Preview function, 2.
Scrolls to top as I'm adding words.

Wilbur, indirectly hinted ? It's exactly what I suggested.

No, there is not a separate Blogger version for Apple. There is the "desktop" version and the "mobile" version. That's it.

And no, it wasn't because they "focused on PC code and were careless about cellphone people."

Blogger has themes. The blogspot owner selects which theme they want to use. Some of the themes were coded before smartphones even existed. Many more were coded before smartphones became widely popular. In other words, they were written before there was any need to consider device screen size limitations, or were written when the majority of users were still computer users, not mobile users.

Both the Corner blogspot and the Jumble blogspot use a "Simple" theme, which has been around for like forever. It's one of the originals, and because it is a simple theme that's relatively easy to implement, it is very popular among Bloggers like C.C. and Owen.

As well, Blogger themes weren't necessarily written by Google employees. However, the Blogger people at Google added function to the Blogger tool to address the usability and formatting issues of readers on smartphones with small screens, especially when the blogspot theme is an older one, like Simple.
