The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is NOT required.

Since August 2022, Wordle brags and links to original jigsaw puzzles are also welcomed!

Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual Jumble or Wordle answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

(In a piece on Friday, Owen used words often applied to the swashbuckling hero, the Scarlet Pimpernel.
Among that French-speaking character’s traits is his slippery skill as an escape artiste.)

Who’s Who (on holiday…)”

The words appeared in Owen’s piece
(a Pimpernelian laurel wreath)!
“Not here, not there!”
It’s his pause faire,
that “demn’d, elusive, wily”—Keith!

Well, this Sunday JUMBLE made me GYRATE with its six clues STREWN about, enough to BATTER your brain, if you're a FOSSIL, like me. I'd rather spend my time in a GAZEBO on a WHIMSY, than solving a J puzzle A STONE'S THROW AWAY.

Well, we had one of these words so here's another blast feim the past

Friday, 10/14/22
Saute,Whirl,Uproot,Fedora;
Worlds apart
Saturday, 10/15/22
Upend,Novel,Fossil,Famous
Loads of fun
—--------
[Chet is talking to Lois,Nora and Charles]
"Coming to AA completely upended my life, a novel experience
ItI was worlds apart from my seat at that seedy bar from whence
My new life began with a tap on the shoulder from a certain someone
And that fossilized existence, not caring and certainly not loads of fun,
Transformed famously into a whirlwind life with the girl of my dreams
Filled with hope, filled with promise and rife with grand wedding schemes"

Chet is interrupted by Clara, Nora's house maid, who's been sautรฉing
Sausage on the grill. "Nora, supper is nearly ready and waiting"
"Come let's eat, the food is on the table" exclaimed aunt Nora
"But Charles, before you sit down, please ditch that fedora"

Is there anything anyone on the outside can do to help you, Owen?
