The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

Sorry kids! I forgot to do the Jumble yesterday (today), and didn't remember it until I went to add the color cartoon after 3 am!

Rules for life from a grandmother:

Hitch your tiara to a star,
Dance your ballet in public,
Make the ninth life count,
But never be a pain in the butt.

LOL! I see OMK’s post on yesterday’s blog has a similar “hitch your wagon to a star” Emerson theme.
He will repost it here.

I am on a two day roll with Wordle. I started with the vowel-rich word today.

"Anniversary"

To celebrate their ninth wedding day
the couple decided to stage a ballet.
They remembered how they had to hitch
in a courthouse. But now they were rich
and they wanted the public to know
their married joy with a marvelous show.

FLN, here’s the poem I posted late on the 5/26 page.

Background:
Their well-known & popular Prima Donna completes her solo tour on the 7th.
The corps can’t rehearse with her till the 8th.

(The haiku title rhymes with today solution:)
“(Dame)
Jane
(doit répéter avec le corps)
sans doute

The ballet won’t be
ready—till the ninth. We’re hitched
to our public “star.”

This is the last Wordle I will post.
Dear Friends: I have been trying to shake the “W” bug from the beginning.
Today I could not access the game w/o stumbling onto a zillion sites offering the answer in advance.

LOL,
I’m sure none of my colleagues are cheating (like I did, above), but it is getting nigh-impossible to avoid the flood of hints & answers posted for days ahead.
In these circumstances, it’s not worth the mental exertion.

CanadianEh! ~ Wise words from la Grand-mère...
I presume the third advisory is meant for your cat!

Misty ~ That's a wonderful way to celebrate an anniversary.
Plus, it provides much needed employment for needy dancers & musicians. Win-win all around!

Woohoo! Delightful verses from CanadianEh! and Ol' Man Keith, with all the Jumble words and solution worked in. Thank you, thank you! Great way to start the morning.

OMK, I couldn't solve this morning's Wordle either, but I am going to keep trying.

And I have to admit, I didn't work the solution into my own Jumble because I found it a pain in the butt.

Misty, begin your wordle with TRAIT and see what happens

Wilbur is offering a generous clue.

You may have mis-read my message re. Wordle, Misty.
That single green line is today's answer.
But it will be my last "solve."

OMK- yes, the third line can refer to Felix, but also any person who has had numerous setbacks (near-death experiences of all kinds) who still has a chance to make their life count.

I took great liberties with the sayings, hitch your wagon to a star, dance like nobody is watching, the cat with nine lives landing on its feet, to encourage behaviour that might be outside the box. But never forget your manners!

Misty- the Wordle answer is in my creation too. And what a lovely anniversary poem.

Today's wordle

Wordle 343 5/6

⬛⬛⬛🟨⬛
🟨⬛⬛🟨⬛
⬛🟨⬛🟩🟩
⬛⬛🟩🟩🟩
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

I'm just having fun with this new FAD. I start with any old word, play around and then get serious at lines 4,5 and very serious if it goes to six.

Here's Fri and Sat combined

"Have a seat on that bamboo rocker, Chet and let's chat
I see your zesty to get hitched to Lois and that should be that.
But I see a sizeable problem: Do I need to spell out the drill?
There's lots of details to cover before the 'I dos' and I will.

Don't think of me as a pain in the butt, I love you both as my own
But marriage is not a ballet, not just a veil and a gown.
I know this is like the ninth inning of of a golden romance
To culminate in a public wedding followed by a dance.
There's nothing more beautiful than poetic vows at the altar
But are you ready for the pitfalls of marriage? Or will you falter?"

[To be continued, what is this big problem Charles has with Chet marrying Lois? Any ideas?]
