FLN, Thanks, Wilbur, for the update.
Nice to know how Lois enjoys the food, the music, and the serenity of Nora’s place.
It is clearly an oasis from an otherwise hectic world.

OMK, Lois told Chet "No more of that sad Orbison stuff I prefer George Feyer "

Today’s Jumble haiku:
(The detective stood by the restaurant table,
reviewing clues left by check-bilking scoundrels…)

Stressed Feller

In gloves he held half-
bitten salmon melts... “Tsk. These
affront fine cuisine!”

Wordle was hard today

Not a Tonic

Once the salmon had bitten the bait,
The fisherman searched the boxes in the cellar
And found an old recipe book.
“For the best flavour
Bake with a garlic clove in the front of the mouth”

OMK-wonderful hidden words in your haiku today. And as usual, great title!

"Forgiveness"

Susan was recovering from a stunt
that left her hand wounded in front.
That morning she had been bitten
by her long-time favorite kitten.
The pet had always been the best
and she never suspected it could be a pest.
But she forgave her pet and all is good
and she decided it's time they share some food.
So Susan is now cooking on her cellar stove
and making salmon spiced with a clove.

Yes, Misty, I agree with Susan.
I'd say you gotta forgive a kitten. Kittens and puppies are too young to know the strength of their teeth & claws. They need to test them--and who better to try them out on, than their human protectors?
The poem makes sense. Humans must suffer for all that love.

And salmon spiced with clove is sure to be a better dish than my salmon melt sandwiches!

Your recipe, CEh!* is a bit more specific, naming that clove as garlic. I've a hunch those old-time cook books were time-tested, and that fisherman is about to enjoy a recipe handed down from "the ages."

Either dish beats salmon melt by a gourmet mile...

Thank you for the kind comments, Ol' Man Keith. Just sorry that your stressed feller didn't like his salmon melts.

But at least your fisherman will enjoy his salmon dinner with the great recipe from his cook book, CanadianEh!.

Yes Misty, I agree with OMK. Kittens (and puppies) must be forgiven. And they grow to be special loved parts of the family. Salmon (I’m not sure about the Clove!) will be enjoyed by that kitten. I still miss my cat (who was part of our family for 18 years) every time I open a can of tuna or salmon. Somehow that cat’s nose knew it was fish and he would come running at the first sound of the can opener.
