Yes OMK, although we hate to admit it, there can be havoc in both rural and urban areas. It may be more hidden in the rural.
Are you familiar with the town of Haddam (I LIUed to check that it existed!)? Or did you find the name to form your title- a Spoonerism I think?

"Family Friends"
We all need to thank Frank
for avoiding a nasty prank.
During days of summer tedium
he began to consult a medium
who predicted a future of havoc
which gave Frank a hard and bad shock.
Then, to his surprise, his wife had a kid
and did further consultation forbid.
This made frank fathom that his best bet
was to make his wife his wisest prophet.
Glad you got here in good time Misty. Trust you will not have anymore than a sore arm tomorrow.
Well, Frank was warned of havoc to come, and a kid can certainly case that. I LOLed at “his wife . . . Did further consultation forbid “. That can be interpreted several ways!
I wondered for a moment what a “frank fathom” was (second-last line), but soon realized that the f did not get capitalized.
My title today is Spooner-ish, CEh!
Not a neat one, as I had to substitute a "d" phoneme for the original "th," and the first short word uses a different vowel.
A true Spoonerism needs no excuses. My title yesterday made me proud.
I lived four or five years, on and off, in Connecticut. I probably drove through Haddam any number of times, but didn't remember it. I looked it up to find the right-sounding name.
And yes, I thought your Wordle disguise very neat. I didn't need to do it today, but could triangulate the answer from your and WC's clues.

Misty ~ I enjoyed your "Family Friends," followed Frank as he gave up pranks (?) and consulted a medium--and heard myself laughing aloud when "to his surprise, his wife had a kid...."
I guess that medium didn't have much on the ball.

WC- I LIUed to find that immortal lefty, as he was unknown to me.
My sports knowledge is patchy (baseball and American football are weak, hockey is stronger). MARIO Lemieux was no problem in the CW today.
Ol Man Keith, I was sure I had gotten yesterday's spoonerism when I joked that it wasn't in "plain sight." Even CanadianEh! referred to that phrase. But if that wasn't it, I'm sorry I missed it. It may be HARDer for me to FATHOM things, than it is for other folks.
But thank you so much for you kind comments about my verse. And your own haiku was delightful, as always. Yes, TEDIUM sure is a blessing after we've been through some HAVOC.
