Wednesday’s Jumble haiku:
(Althea hates climate change.
Ever-warmer summers fill her legs with edema and swell her belly.
Already she can’t fit into her new pants suit!
Here’s a message from…)

”Bloated Althea!”

Annual temps run
hotter; digits rise! “Need A/
C in the foyer!”

American Floatfest

When the weather is hotter
And temps reach three digits* out,
A party on the water
(Planned by someone with clout)
And watched from the foyer**
Brings a great shout.

The feeling is mutual,
This should be annual,
What a great idea!

*Fahrenheit
**pronounced the American way

OMK- again you have taken all those J-words and concisely created a wonderful haiku . . . and that title!!
FLN- great catch (I missed it) re using Misty’s name as a clue for yesterday’s Wordle.

FLN, WC- I see the J words that you so aptly incorporated from both Tues. & Wed. Thanks for including the “Canadian friend”.

I had to clarify that my offering today had an American base, not Canadian. We don’t want three-digit temps in Celsius degrees (that would be a horrendous tragedy of climate change).
And if you pronounce “foyer” the proper! French-Canadian way, it won’t rhyme.

"Legal Help"

Fred met in his sunlit foyer
for a discussion with his lawyer.
An argument with his father
had recently gotten hotter
as they disagreed over every digit
while both remained staunch and rigid.

So their attorney floated an idea
that gave Fred and his father both some cheer.
Together they'd produce a manual
about the family's expenses that were annual.
Distributed to all their kin,
it turned out to be a win.

Misty- wonderful poem today. What a great idea from the lawyer to solve the family dilemma and prevent future conflict.

I just noticed that I used my third guess on Wordle today in my poem, rather than the actual answer (which I also just noticed is a variation on our Jumble theme). Perhaps I have given Misty too many clues now! I wouldn’t want to circumvent the rules.

Loved your Althea verse this morning, Ol' Man Keith. Just hope she loses a little weight, or gets some air out of her tires.

Wish I could guess what J words you used in your Wordle, but they worked well after the first try, Wilbur.

So cool the way you turned that Jumble cartoon into a great party on the water this morning, CanadianEh!. If it were annual, I'd do my best to attend.

Have a great day, everybody.

Misty, I started with OMEGA and followed with POSIT

Thanks, CEh! Your appreciation is generous, both of my lil' verse today and its title.
I would join with Misty and others and invite myself to your party on the water.*
Just about any affair on the water is appealing (so long as the water behaves itself).

Fred and his Pops must be clever economists, Misty, to produce a budgetary manual that keeps the rest of their kinfolk happy.
That is surely some trick!
But I congratulate you, that you found a formula to make it work. Just place them in a "sunlit foyer" with their lawyer--and cheer ensues!

Thanks for your kind remarks on my haiku. I'll pass along your good wishes to Althea, w/ your hope for an end to her plight. I am afraid her heat-bloat is genetic, and unlikely to subside--unless climate change reverses course.

And Brava! for beating out the competition in Wordle.
I didn't do it today, as a glance at the last two diagram levels kinda FLoats it OUT.
With such a victory under your belt, it would be good of you, too, to drop a hint.

A tricky word, "foyer": we Americans pronounce it either way, or we're just not sure.
Probably better to footnote it as "rhymes with 'employer'."

Thank you, Wilbur. Yes, OMEGA was one of yesterday's J words, wasn't it?

Thanks OMK for the heads up about foyer!
