From the meadow at the top of a bluff,
Overlooking the harbor below,
Homer was ready to strut his stuff,
And over the edge he'd go!

His para-glider unfurled above him,
And only the air beneath!
Free as a bird, riding the wind's whim,
Under his fabric sheath!

And when at last he settled to ground
He was mobbed by curious souls
Who wanted to share the joy he found,
Before even they said hellos!

Not sure the cartoon/solution is right. It opened in only 6 theaters (I LIU), so they may or may not have been crowded, but probably not that crowded. I know it's just for a joke, so I'm clearly nitpicking.

Anyway, the jumble itself was just as easy as they've mostly all been lately.I

See you tomorrow.

The poem appeared while I was writing!

Nice story, love the meter.

(That's not Homer Simpson, is it?)

Delightful Monday Jumble, beginning with a terrific poem, Owen. Many thanks for that extra gift. I had only a bit of hesitation with the third word, but couldn't figure out the solution at first. It turned out, I had put down the wrong letters, and once I corrected that--TADA! Wonderful cartoon, and so glad to see it in those bright colors. Like the matching hair-dos on the two people in front. Fun start to the week.

I definitely remember seeing the movie but don't recall if there was a "crowd". I'd read the book.

#3 held me up and I had to jot down letters. Then the two 6's clicked and the Riddle-Solution was easy.

Misty, could you grok' my MOOR/MERRIER and my just happening to read the first ten pages of the "Hound..".

Owen likes those prescient coincidences. Someone coined a word and wrote a book about paranormal coincidences. What's that word??

Jung talked about unexplainable phenomena of the fortuitous type and called them "spiritual experiences".

Lately, secularists have panned the concept claiming number theory / advanced statistics can explain it.

Then again, Homer had his own "spiritual experience" in the clouds

Wilbur, you speak in riddles. What was "Homer had his own "spiritual experience" in the clouds"?
