The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.

Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

"Chic Chef"

Kenny has the knacks
for finding aprons on the racks
that handsomely cover his thorax.

His work on the restaurant grille
did his wishes greatly fulfill,
to prepare and chop and mince,
and onion no longer make him wince.

He just won a prize for his latest fare,
and he now feels grand and walks on air.

Two haiku
today for you…

Walkin’ & Talkin’
(My car thinks he’s a real boy.)

My anthropomorph
car’s grille has bright teeth; his hood
thoracic—sleek, trim!

It’s my knack to find
body parts in an Audi.
(Headlamps wince—on “Dim.”)

Good work, Misty, beating me to the post and giving us a thorough reading of today's J-words & solution.
You're in classic form this morning, following your day of rest.

Kenny is the beneficiary of your attention, a master chef, prepping his salad, & doing his thing with style--
showing how veteran tear ducts resist those lachrymators newly released by his onion-chopping knife.

Bravo, Kenny! The Salad Czar!
Enjoy your restaurant's Misty Star!

Accident-prone with a knack for trouble,
That guy was travelling on the double.
He winced as a crash crumpled his grille,
Then with broken thorax, he was left still.

Not known for his piety here on earth,
Heaven offered him a new birth.
Nevertheless, he’s walkin’ on air.
There.

Loved your anti-climactic climax, CE!
You have an easy way with meter & rhyme; it's fun to follow your drift.

I'm impressed with the leap you took on the 3rd tier of Wordle.
I at least had my usual head start, with a hint at the first letter.
But we both must be steering a virtuous path to have hit on that answer so readily!

Very interesting sad verse this morning, CanadianEh!, with a surprise ending.

I had a hard time with Wordle this morning and just didn't get it in the end. Remarkable that both of you got it so quickly and easily, OMK and CE. Good for you!

Sorry it didn't work for you, Misty
What was the last word you tried?
We can at least give you an idea as to how close you were.

Thanks OMK and Misty for your kind comments on my poetic offering today. I haven’t done much of this, but am finding it rather fun. Perhaps my years of piano playing have given me a sense of rhythm.

As for Wordle, the few times I have not succeeded in figuring out the word in six attempts, Wordle has given the correct answer at the end. Today’s word was hard. I spent some time thinking between guess two and three.
