The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.
Comments are welcomed! And couching them in Poetry is definitely NOT required.
Do not explicitly reveal any of the actual answer words until after closing time, but embedding them surreptitiously in comment sentences is encouraged.

“Flopping Chub”
My little guppy,
proof fish can number among
our loves. ♥️ Li’l Gar-lick…!

WELCOME ALL to the first day of SUMMER!
The LONGEST DAY of ‘22 …
I started with an inglorious prospect.

"Fun Farming"
Frank decided it would do no harm
if he used some money to buy a farm.
It gave his guppy and his puppy a home,
and soon other animals did everywhere roam.
He grew garlic and a number of other crops
and his produce was soon considered tops.
In a few years he did enough income acquire
as proof that on his farm he could retire.
I can't believe, Ol' Man Keith, that I too got the Wordle on my third try:

Looks like Frank’s combination of animal husbandry and crop cultivation paid off nicely for him, Misty.
Yes, he showed a fine balance of farming skills.
I imagine his “other animals” would complete a natural line connecting marine life with mammals, from aquatic tanks to barnyard corrals—making for quite “a spread” out his way…
Congrats on your Wordle.
Now, don’t you be bragging!
It’s unseemly to boast, y’know.

Oops, sorry, OMK. I should have remembered that you didn't brag a bit when you got your three line Wordle, and I should have followed your example.
Not to worry.
It's just that braggadocio is out of style.
As are bluster and boasting.
Neither of us may indulge a cockalorum.

No Need to Gloat
The new guppy-based fertilizer on the farm
Certainly could do no harm.
The number of garlic cropping up
Was proof that it was not corrupt.

One extra line required today because of all the rhyming possibilities.

Hooray for the first day of summer- a beautiful day here (not as hot and humid as predicted!).
It is also National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada.
Love your farm poem, Misty.
And congrats on your Wordle success.
(And to OMK. Your poem at 12:59 went well with the Wordle answer.)
You did it, CanadianEh!! You worked all four Jumble words and the solution into your clever four line verse! Excellent!
And, OMK, I had to look up 'cockalorum': a self-important little man. So who is the cockalorum I shouldn't have indulged? In any case, thanks for the advice.
Thanks, CEh!
Your poem ain't 'arf bad neither! Good job--
But I can't help feeling sorry for the guppies who gave their li'l lives.
A fertilizer to honor the memory of my Li'l Gar-lick...
Glad summer is treating you well, too.
Misty ~ I meant we mustn't indulge the cockalorum within ourselves.
Cockalorum isn't necessarily just a guy. (Dictionaries need to be updated, to be gender neutral.)

Early this morning but I see I never posted it.
You can brag, boast, gloat etc for getting it in three. Not having the first letter it could have been F or B
Last I heard chet and Lois had arrived at Nora's house. I'm waiting to hear how things turned our.
In Managua, Nicaragua that's "Wilbur's gotten lazy"

Just to be CLEAR:
I suppose, Misty, a feminine cockalorum ought to be a cockalora. But the -um ending should include the neuter case.
I think you should know, CEh!, that my "poem" at 12:59 was not meant as a poem. When I try for free verse, it is never quite that free.
No, today I put my faith in my opening haiku. I respect the discipline, and I was hoping to share my feeling for that dear li'l guy.
"My pal, Gar-lick:"
He was all alone
after his mates departed.
Then he blew bubbles.
