Molly lived in Hollywood,
a place she considered lively and good.
She planned to marry Larry,
and gave him an aviary.
Larry gave her a doily to cajole her
into appointing him as her sole heir.
In the end both efforts were a folly,
and now being apart they are again jolly.
Goodness, Misty, what a strange relationship between Molly & Larry!
She had her eyes set on marriage, but he wanted to be her heir.
(I presume he wasn't up for matrimony, just the complete inheritance!)
Looks like you came to the right conclusion: these two are better off "being apart."

I have to share credit with my wife today, for helping with the title for my morning haiku.
It was she who suggested "Canaries" instead of my original species, "Crows."
"Canaries" are better suited for the rhythm. (Just say the whole title out loud.)
Better still, "Canaries" are far happier in a cage--than are "Crows."

Ol' Man Keith, you're the only poet I've ever encountered who could make s_ _ t a lyrical and melodic moment in a haiku. Your wife did certainly help with this one because clean canaries, much more than crows, would do their very best to find someone to keep their aviaries pristine.
So glad to see your verse and comment this morning, OMK, but where are all of our other Jumble colleagues today? We miss you, Wilbur, CanadianEh!, and Owen.
I hope somebody else shows up, Misty, if only to keep you company while I run errands today.

Busy day here. I had to do a morning blood panel at Quest Lab--where my phlebotomist was training a verrry slo-ow pupil, and then the trainer found she did her paper work all wrong.
Had to start over again, from scratch.
Meanwhile, I am waiting--sitting there and waiting, longer & longer--just to get punctured.
In a few minutes I have to go out again, this time to my cardiologist for my semi-annual EKG.
I need to tell him that my new Apple Watch has been alerting me to occasional atrial fibrillations.
Don't know if that has more to do with my heart, or the *#@! Watch.

Dear OMK--so sorry that you have so many medical issues to be dealt with, and that sometimes it takes a long time to get procedures done, or even started. Sounds like a frustrating day, and you're a real hero to take it all in stride and just deal with it. I suspect I'd be freaking out and am lucky I don't have too much stuff to deal with just yet.
(Did I just use the phrase "deal with" three times? I'm an English professor, for heaven's sake--you'd think I'd have a slightly better talent for prose! I'll have to promise to work on this in the future).
A casual conversational style is all we expect in our prose postings, Misty. You needn't worry about typical repetitions.
I know how you feel, though. We tend to be critical of our own statements, rarely noticing errors in our friends' posts.
My cardiologist's office screwed up my appointment, saying they had called me to change it. But in fact, the call I rec'd the day before was to re-CONFIRM the appointment. A real SNAFU by their office.
But it's OK. I wasn't eager to see him for a routine in-and-out session.
He usually schedules me 6 months apart, so I will just make my next appointment for 6 months from now!
Tomorrow I have a dermatology appointment in the morning. At this time in my life I am constantly paying the price for all my years on our beaches.
For many years I swam every day. So now, it is one skin cancer after another.
Ah, but it was WORTH it.

I posted wordle late(early) fln. I went south and stayed at a friend's house closer to st Pete where I had a urology appointment. But the doctor called this morning and simply gave me the updated diagnosis on the phone. So I had a leisurely morning and lunch with my AA confreres.
They were surprised and happy to see me. Then it was two hours travel to home. Followed by nap time.
I've been struggling with the Friday xword since nine. I had supper in between efforts

All was peaceful at Nora's, and nothing was ever amiss
Except perhaps Holly, Nora's niece from the other side of the family
Lois hoped that she wouldn't rekindle past feuds and enmity
Perhaps this was prime ninth step atonement time , a God-spot
Chet had been cajoling her to make amends which had come to naught.

Wilbur ~ You are right, sir! I had no idea you were working on a later Wordle.
We don’t always scrutinize the number(369) when other Wordles on the same page are consistent. I’m sorry, but I guess it would help if more attention were directed to a change of date.
I enjoyed your installment of the Chet&Lois adventure.
I do find it easy to get lost sometimes—as, for instance, why Chet would cajole Lois to make amends if Holly is the one who “rekindle(s) past feuds and enmity.”
Does AA expect atonement by the victim of enmity?
So Charles has been helping Chet earn a living, eh? Please remind me: what does Chet do?
