So, Owen, are you saying that if I type several โNew Postโ pages, with successive dates, they will not show up until we pass midnight into each date?
After typing a new date, do I click on โPublishโ? And then it wonโt actually be published until that date arrives?

Todayโs Jumble haiku:
(A Mutual Attraction, & many โฆ)
โSmiles Within Itโ
Kids and gerbils are
social magnetsโwee, minor,
โฆ easily amused!

Nesting Pets
A gerbil is meant to amuse,
Be a magnet for toddler views,
A mile a minute on the wheel.
Thatโs no minor task
And a big ask.
Congrats WC on your eagle Wordle today. I was in the smelly garbage can on guess four. Starting with my vowel-rich word might have hastened the solve.
WC- FLN- I have no clue about Carl Fudinski!?? Loved your update on Lois and Chet.
OMK- the words we were given sent us in the same direction today. Nice again, I love your title riff.
C-eh, I misspelled, the name is Fusinski but his nickname is Pastor Fuzz
WC
"Herbal Gerbil"
For Maggie animals were a magnet
and a gerbil was her favorite pet.
The little critter did her so amuse
that she wrote a story published in the news.
The editor knew that it was silly and minor
but he still invited her on a date at the diner.
And so the gerbil did their romance spin it,
and their love proceeded a mile a minute.
Loved your sweet haiku this morning, Ol' Man Keith. Many thanks for that.
Any chance of getting a Wordle hint today? Would love to play with it.
Liked the way your gerbil is in a cage for a toddler to enjoy watching, CanadianEh!.
Looking forward to your verse, Wilbur.
Wordle 471. The hint I used: A sharp-pointed organ at the end of the abdomen of beesโฆ
Par = 1
Wordle 471 1/6

(Way too EZ with this hint!)

Enjoyed your poem, CEh!
"A mile a minute" on the wheel, eh? That has me speculating as to how many miles a gerbil might actually chalk up in a given exercise round.
They can take off like blazes, but I kinda doubt their staying power.
And your piece, Misty, is fun, too. It starts & ends sweetly enough, with the seeds of a rom-com plot (a gerbil-induced romance!).
But don't we worry these days about that editor's abuse of his office? She is ether an employee or, worse, a free-lancer. Either way, he has sway over her career....

PS. I passed along the hint I used, but we saw yesterday that you needn't rely on hints to do a very fine Wordle.
Owen ~ If you can answer me (first posting above) before midnight, I will try to set up an automatic series of dates. My only fear is that if I click on "Publish" for several dates, they may all show up at once. And then I would not know how to remove them!
If I don't hear from you, I will try to post a date at a time--but with no guarantees, as I sometimes fall asleep before posting at night.
~ OMK
Misty- yes, I agree with OMK that we should warn Maggie not to let that editorโs position influence her romance.
If her Gerbil submission was just for fun, and not a part of her career, that would be different.
Ah, the eye-opening effects of the Me Too movement! (WC- Pastor Fuzz will get himself in trouble with Me Too also!)
OMK- yes that gerbil may not be able to maintain that speed on the wheel, but the toddler watching only has a short attention span, so it will not matter. LOL!
Woohoo! Thank you, thank you, OMK! Your Wordle hint worked and I got it on the first try:
Wordle 471 1/6

Okay, OMK and CanadianEh!, you've convinced me that I'd better warn Maggie to be cautious and careful and slow in that new relationship with the editor. Hope she follows my advice and that all will turn out well.
OMK, your description at the top is right on target! And the publish date can still be changed after being set.
I'm a miser through and through
Penney pinching is what I do
I'm so stingy
Waiters tip me
Yet still I am poorer than you.
Of course, Misty, it could be working the other way around, if it is Maggie who's using her (ahem) female assets to entice the editor into giving her unfair advantage on the Gerbil Society Page.
In either case, it is for the other writers on the Unguiculatus Update Desk that we should be concerned. How do they know Maggie is not luring that editor into dumping their MSS w/o reading them?
No, no, it is not enough to "warn Maggie." That liaison has got to be nipped.

Owen ~ But to cut to the core of my worry: WHEN do I click on "Publish"?
(1) All of the new dates in advance? All seven, for instance, for a week at a time?
-or-
(2) One day at a time? Type seven of them & leave them as drafts, then return each day after noon to click on "Publish"?
~ OMK
Sorry no jumble poems from me. I can do the puzzle, but not write the seed words where I can remember them long enough to write a poem.
OMK, once you've set the date, you can go ahead and punch publish for all at once.
Great! Thank you, Owen!
