Suzy had it all, she had a yacht and limo, too.
And when she got stressed out, she had a petting zoo!
She could be quite choosy with designer clothes,
A China silken scarf, to match her China silken hose!

The keypad on her smartphone was tuned so every key
Tinkled with a different note, her notes a symphony!
She was the envy of her set, more so for me or you.
Nothing her money couldn't buy, her money couldn't do!

They say she even had a cache of turnips hidden by,
So if she hoarded all the cash, and no one else could buy,
And people turned to turnips to trade instead of coin,
She'd still be the richest bitch in all of East Des Moines!

Hi. I'm back, I hope, after some difficult days.

Owen, I saw both the newspaper jumble and yours, and like both of them. They take quite different approaches to the same solution, and I must say yours gave me more of a chuckle. The clues were quite easy and the solution came out readily after a little staring at all the letters.

I love this poem's smooth running description and really laughed when the turnips came along!

Good to see you back, Sandy, and you on the mend, Owen--and with a jolly tale of a po' lil rich gal.
I hope the "difficult days" are easing up for you both, or that they've at least bottomed out.
Sumer is a-cumin in, just two days away. It's the season when we should be able to kick it & let the rays and warmth lift our burdens. Maybe the solstice will bring a release from your current woes!
Damn. I think the zodiac owes you.
