Jack and Jill drove up the hill,
Light was fading from the day.
They parked at Viewpoint Overlook,
The Wishing Well not far away.
Hand in hand they strolled a bit,
As the sun paled on the waters.
The bay mirroring the sunset,
Ruddy clouds the sun's supporters.

From this hillside porch the two
Turned to their car, for home.
Then with a rush of terror
Realized they weren't alone!
Camoflauged in growing darkness
The man, toward them, turned around.
Startled, poor Jack stumbled,
He nearly tumbled to the ground.

Jill bravely steadied Jack,
Almost falling down herself.
The ranger quick stepped forward,
Saying, "Let me help.
A pair comparable to you
On Lovers Lane I rarely see."
"Romance has no season,"
Said Jill with a touch of glee.
"We can still enjoy it
At age eighty-three!"

I've been trying to get that thumbnail above to enlarge on hover, but it's just not working. However, if you right-click and select View Image, you can still see it.

Enjoyed your poem a lot; my parents were together for 62 years, a record which, fortunately (since I missed it by more than half a century) I had no wish to emulate.

The jumble itself was pretty easy. The clues came instantly, and once that most relevant four-letter word was deduced, so did the solution.

I like your cartoon, but wonder if those socks are going on a field trip to nowhere. Can't be much fun in a dryer, though I did read a little article recently about a cat that survived her 'field trip' in one.

They say that, as I write, the hordes of unmatched socks could overrun civilization, as we know it.

In my inimitable way I didn't transpose the letters correctly and even though I guessed the Riddle-Solution I had the wrong middle letters.
