FLN, Owen ~ A reminder that you have my very best wishes for a short hospital stay.
I mention it again because your posting was late & may have been missed by our other colleagues. I am sure they all join me in sending “Get Well” messages.
May your diagnosis be mild, your confinement be brief & comfortable, and your return to the world be filled with good spirits & high energy!
FLN, Misty ~ A minor note, just to be sure you saw my late message re. the “wedge.”

Today’s Jumble haiku:
“(Not so) Good Riddance”
Daddy grounded me.
I can’t do “Hot skier,” nor
“Potato sack race”!

Owen- sorry to hear that you are in the hospital. Wishing you good care and a quick recovery.
WC- good work on the Wordle.
Quick Recap
My daddy was Mr. Potato-head,
Raised under the ground,
With plentiful flower buds,
Rescued from rodents in the storage bin,
And served on a skewer.
But he left no fewer
Than ten of us little spuds.
Owen, I wish you the best. Keep in touch re. Medical treatment
WC
OMK- good work to get those unrelated words into a short haiku. I had to use some variations to make any kind of a story.
Let’s see what Misty does.
Dear Owen, hope you get wonderful care at the hospital and will be home soon, feeling healthy and well again. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

"Worked Well"
The golf club hired Daddy as a caddy
because he was so friendly and chatty.
In winter he hung out there as a skier
where his moves were greeted with cheer.
In summer he worked in a garden on the ground,
where his skills were highly renowned.
His potatoes and tomatoes were the best of the crop
and won praise and awards for being over the top.
With all this success at so many events
he will never be given a "good riddance."
Whew! Got the Wordle on the third try, thank goodness:

Delightful verses this morning, Ol' Man Keith and CanadianEh!.
Loved your condensed haiku, and sorry you had trouble pleasing Daddy, OMK.
What a faithful spud your are, CanadianEh!", paying such a kind tribute to your potato Daddy. Delightful verse!
And we'll look forward to hearing more from you, Wilbur.
CanadianEh! ~ I always admired your Daddy’s versatility. Indeed, I am sorry to read that, despite such an auspicious beginning & protection from rats, he ended up on a skewer!
But I am sure he was tasty.
Your Daddy, Misty, is truly the Man for All Seasons. I agree with your appreciation of his many skills, as expressed in your final couplet.
I hope your summation is matched by decent remuneration from his club!
~ OMK
Yes, OMK, He was tasty!
Misty- I knew you would use all those diverse words to make a great story. Well done!
Thank you for your very kind comments, everybody--much appreciated. And I loved that we had great verses all around today! Thank you for that too!
