Todayโs Jumble haiku:
Imagine that in a future dystopian world, each profession & trade goes insane, with practitioners performing their usual tasks with greater intensity.
Grocers often farm their own goods and are accustomed to digging up crops. And one dayโฆ
โ(Trying to get) Ahead of the Gameโฆโ
Our grocer foraged
somewhat madly, digging for
snails, shawls, whateverโฆ!
~ OMK
Game Ready
She was a saint,
But considered mad.
The grocer caught her
Foraging through the stand,
Hiding in her shawl,
What she thought was a ball-
A head of cabbage.
OMK- another day with a disjointed variety of words to put into verse. I loved your โwhateverโ!
Hint to Misty- the Wordle is included in my verse.
"Short Court"
The grocer loved her madly
but the relationship ended badly.
He had taken her to a mall
and bought her a lovely shawl.
But she lost it, and one day he did forage
and found she had tossed it into storage.
The experience made him dread
having more such events ahead.
So, without giving her any blame,
he sadly ended their game.

Thank you for the helpful hint, CanadianEh!--it helped me get the Wordle on the second try:

OMK, I saw your hint just now, after I'd already written the above message. Thank you for that too. I like that our answer is such a good person.
I never got to

Voila, I'm a genius

Aha! WC & CEh! ~ Both playing the "hint" game, I see.
Hard to resist, isn't it? You're climbing on the bandwagon now!
I can use a break...

Hard to tell, Misty how clear that grocer was in stating his feelings toward that girl...
He seems to be an overly sensitive sort of guy, breaking off whatever relationship he felt they had.
He didn't give her any blame? Sounds like he didn't explain much at all.
Or ask her whether the shawl was in storage because it was unseasonable.
(Maybe she was saving it for Autumn...?)

WC& Misty- glad you got the Wordle. I usually try to include it along with the J words in my daily verse. Spoiler alert if you donโt want a hint.
Misty- a more somber verse from you today. But Iโm with OMK- there was no discussion of the problem. Just an ending of the game. Ghosting perhaps?
Another mad forager, eh, CEh!? We all had to deal with less than a sane word supply
today. I think we fared pretty wellโฆ considering.
As for including the Wordle word in our verse, I try to avoid that.
Itโs my personal choice. Since I give hints regularly, I think I need to avoid just giving the word away. Thatโs not โhinting.โ
When you do it, itโs fine, especially if it is a fairly common word, so that it doesnโt stick out as an obviously strange choice.

When I glanced at C-eh's poem I thought I saw a likely word(le). FYI he's been doing that for a month
I usually have done wordle before I come here but forgot.
I too have left an obscure hint when I've posted
Misty has become very proficient in Jumble poetry. We all have our styles

Thank you for the kind comment, Wilbur, and it's great to see you back today.
Enjoyed your haiku, Ol'Man Keith. Hope your grocer found whatever he was looking for.
And I hope your saint didn't get into too much trouble, CanadianEh!.
Have a good evening, everybody.
Combining Thursday and Friday ...
Lois continues:
I discarded the shawl of fear and clothed myself in acceptance
I madly foraged for the nuggets of truth dropped my way perchance
AA became a giant potpie of people, ideas and meetings galore
Sure it took a long time to heal, to see lucently even more
No more falling madly in love at the Moose Club on Saturday night
No more foolish games, no relationships formed at first sight
I needed to focus on the path ahead, keep my eye on the beam
My sponsorship family assured me that I'd surely grow
They were all wonderful, an incredibly, supportive team
More important, they guided me to a Higher Power I came to know
