The opening poem contains all the words (or variations of them) from today's Jumble.

How doth the burly lumberjack, in flannel clad array,
Prepare himself to look his best upon his wedding day?
A razor scrapes the hairy chin, the follicles to free.
The "moosestach" and the mutton chops shall no longer be.
A bathtub soak, a bubbly wash, to cleanse the pores of dirt,
The sawdust and the honest sweat of hardy outdoor work.
The body scrubbed to newborn pink, the hair shampooed, agleam.
The nails trimmed and pumiced, they've never been so clean!
And then to clothe this daisy in cloth of satin sheen,
A shirt of white, a coat fit right, lapels of smoothest cream.
Down the aisle strode the groom, down the aisle stepped the bride,
Who let out a little "Eep!" at this -- stranger -- by her side!
Love the poem, smoothly integrating all the jumble words. It makes me actually see this scrubbed-up guy, looking so strange to his bride. Well, in a few days he'll be right back to his old self, no doubt.
The jumble was so simple and obvious; I wonder if somebody new is doing them lately.
Sweet, delightful poem, Owen. I breezed right through all four items in this Jumble, and of course the solution just popped right up. Made me happy. Have a great day, everybody!
Yep, two minutes for everything . Great poem.

LOL - Two minutes, Wilbur?! T-W-O whole minutes?
Egad, man!
How long did it take me to...
Inhale, and
Exhale, and
Inhale one more time?
And judging by Sandy ("simple & obvious"!) and Misty ("popped right up"!), today's jumble may have fallen off the kids' funny pages.
Two minutes, tsk tsk...

Actually I didn't time it, OMK. I like the newspaper. Perhaps we're all getting better with practice
